If you like Ajani Unyielding you'll love Oath of Ajani. Perhaps move Prowling Serpopard to sideboard, since you only really need him to play Blue.

I dunno about including more 2 drops though, and the Serpopard has decent stats for a 3 drop. What do you think I could do to change it? If I put the enchantment in Id probably cut 2 drops and squeeze more 3s in place of the Serpopards, but Im not sure which cats.

Do you need 3 Authority of the Consuls and 3 Vanquisher's Banner ? You could probably reduce one of them each and get 2 Oath of Ajani. Since you are using Ajani Unyielding this will help get him out faster and pump you creatures up.

With Metallic Mimic in there as well this would give you good synergy. You might not need Solemnity in sideboard if you do go this way. 2 more Settle the Wreckage (because that card is crazy good) in the sb, would help more I think.

Prowling serpopard could go in here. Also why not add annointed procession and go with like a cat token theme? Heroic intervention seems like a must add. Maybe 3 heroic, 3 annointed, 2 prowling...-3 authority, -2 oath of ajani, -2 gideon of trials, -2 ajani unyielding. Possibly add oketra the true and oketras monument? You can drop 1-2 lands if you take out the big Planeswalker.

@mrlucky131313I had Oketra in the deck before, and never in a single game did she get to attack. Perhaps if I went full token shed be better but Im pretty happy with how the deck works right now.

Serpopard and Heroic Intervention are already in the sideboard. The question is whether Authority of the Consuls is better against more decks than either of those, and in my experience it is. I can get behind maybe putting Heroic Intervention in because its so good, but the deck is already very heavy on 2drops.

Gideon is better than Serpopard in mainboard, and Ajani can break open games in the midrange mirror and vs control.

Also I dont really wanna make just a token deck, I like this identity as a high curve midrange. If I really wanted to play tokens Id cut all but the Sacred Cats and Regal Caracals and play Esper instead :p I know its a dead-end design, but I want to stick to the theme, and tbh its working well so far. Anointed Procession is a possibility but at 4cmc its a steep price to pay when my deck isnt designed exclusively to exploit it, giving me no immediate value. Against a Temur Energy or a Ramunap Red spending a turn just for that is going to get me killed.

My worst matchups are tempo and UW control. Preboard I doubt Ill ever stand up well against UW, postboard its not so bad. Control matchups in general are decent, forcing 2:1s with my cats which can eternalize/embalm then levying card advantage for a win. But my worst matchup is tempo, which is what I really want feedback for!

Hey Kaeryth, I love this deck! I made a Selesnya cat tribal deck before Ixalan was released but dismantled it because I just didn't like how it played.

This deck looks awesome and it plays pretty well. I would only modify one thing, Heroic Intervention. Sure Prowling Serpopard is a good card and pretty strong for a 3-drop, but I agree with him being in the sideboard against Blue. Heroic Intervention on the other hand, is an absolute must in this deck. As for what to take out, in my experience, I've only ever needed to run 2 Authority of the Consuls. It's one of my favorite White cards but it's pretty much a dead draw if you topdeck a second one, let alone a third.

The other card I would take out is Ajani Unyielding. It's an OK card, but at a CMC of 6, it's pretty pricey. I feel the deck would be just fine with one of them. That being said, if you absolutely must have both copies in there, I'd remove a land. 24 lands is the perfect number without any ramp or tutors.

Hey Kaeryth, If you put either 2 or 3 Heroic Intervention from the sideboard into the mainboard, I personally would replace them with a few copies of Gideon's Intervention. I have 2 copies of it in every single sideboard of any of my decks that run White. It's come in handy so many times for games 2 and 3 and even though it's an enchantment that needs to stay on the field in order for its effect to remain active, Heroic Intervention will protect it if your opponent tries to remove it.

If you're not a fan or don't want to run that for some reason, Solemnity is always a good choice as well.

Awesome deck list! I'm sure it's already been mentioned, but have you considered adding Anointed Procession? It would actually fit in this deck really well, especially since 16/20 creatures are capable of making tokens (including the embalmed/eternalized creatures). Cards like Oath of Ajani, Regal Caracat and Metallic Mimic definitely seem like cards that would support a token strategy.

Otherwise the list looks pretty good, I just might have to try it out :P

Most of the things Id like to suggest have already been suggested, though I will resuggest like 2 copies of Blossoming Defense since I find it useful even when I dont necessarily need the hexproof. Obviously you know how the deck plays better than me but on initial glance I feel like you could drop a land or two? Also you should consider Shefet Dunes and Hashep Oasis especially if you are gaining hp with your life linkers and authority. Finally Dusk / Dawn might be good? Idk depends on what your typical board looks like, I havent run a deck like this so idk if it would clash with embalms. I admire the amount of effort on this deck, good luck!

Maybe you could add some card draw in Shapers' Sanctuary , Vanquisher's Banner , or Lifecrafter's Bestiary . This could help you keep up with all the search for azcantas

The only one of those cards thats decent enough is Lifecrafter's Bestiary, and the problem with that is having to play off-curve for it to do anything. I tried the banner and it was pretty bad, and also youll have few problems generating card advantage against control postboard anyway.

I like this deck, theres a few things you could try out.

Shefet Dunes is also really great in decks that have so many tokens, a board wide buff for your creatures that can save a dead draw turn is noteworthy.

Rishkar, Peema Renegade could be pretty handy. You have Mimic and Oath of Ajani in the deck, so you could have a ramp engine and you could call the deck Crazy Cat Wrangler? I mean, Rishkar does look like he is chasing some forest kittens right? Thats a stretch.

Verdurous Gearhulk or Angel of Invention. A good and well rounded value engine for midrange that adds a trample or flying creature that can squeeze damage through or over your opponents stuff. It would help make mid-range matchups a little more favorable because you could power through.

Thats about it, and theyre not even great suggestions really.

tricky here is you can block Pride Sov. then before dealing damage you can tap ability pride sov then produce cats it will count incoming cats for additional pumps.

How do you feel about Longtusk Cub? I cant decide between that and Metallic Mimic.
