Ah, that's not a problem man. If you want to use something like Brainwash, try using Arrest. It's a little more expensive to cast but this permanently prevents attacking, blocking AND activated abilitys from creatures your oppenents control. This might be a little farfetched but try using Privileged Position just to gain some more protection and keeping those Arrests / other permanents you control alive.

KingdomsteelArchangel of Thune is on the que to purchase, the other two suggestion to make flying and block extra times per turn, are optimal! Thank you so much for the suggestions. I had a few things I wanted to put in like Brainwash but unfortunately like that card they are all banned from Modern.

i suggest Authority of the Consuls for more aggro hateBrainwash i think works well with Karona, False God

Gelid Shackles and some snow land would also work well with him

Denthrass That is indeed an improvement, thank you for showing me that card. However, I might end up replacing it with Prison Term instead because the ability to move it is awesome!

Optimator I don't think Ill put Humility in, but I will be finding a spot for Prison Term Thanks for the suggestion!

-Counterspell- In all seriousness I originally considered adding Nyx-Fleece Ram, and it still might have a spot, I just have to decide what it could replace.

griz024 I did consider Brainwash, and you're right about the art, but I think Oppressive Rays is just a better card because it hits blocking and abilities too. Thanks though!

maddoxmtg Thank you for clearing that rule up, I was confused about it. Also, did you have any specific recommendations? If there's a chance to discover something new, I'm always down for education.

Yeah but I can't figure out how to fix it. I originally had Brainwash in it but removed it once I saw that it wasn't modern legal.

neat deck. obviously remove the purelace, it literally does nothing. try to add a Godsend and maybe a Spear of Heliod. And a Sphere of Safety, it's a cheap card that is insane with your commander pumping out enchantment tokens. Take out Brainwash, there are better enchantments, such as Pacifism or Prison Term or Cage of Hands that do the same thing but are 100x better. Try to get a Worship or better yet a Pariah, with your commander you will be unkillable. For more land, add Land Tax and Oath of Lieges. A good angel for any Heliod deck is Pristine Angel because she never taps with your commander out; always has protection from everything.

You should also have some way of dealing with graveyard based decks. I suggest Rest in Peace, as your deck doesn't have many graveyard effects to lose. Another one is Angel of Finality or Honor the Fallen or Relic of ProgenitusGraveyard decks are really tough to beat. Even if you lose a few effects, it can be worth it to pack gy hate.
