Who is the hottest male Commander currently?

Commander Deck Help forum

Well other than Kozilek obviously.

But seriously, I don't visit this website that often but I already have a Golgari and Azorious commander (both female), so I'm looking for a 1 or 3 colored one! And if I'm going to build one I'm gonna build the eyecandy ones.

Also interested in any arguments for or against any commanders on this. Flavor will be considered.

Hottest you say? Well, Purphoros, God of the Forge is a real firecracker. He definitely turns up the heat...

Oh, you mean like sexy, oh. Well... Purphoros is kinda nice to look at in the right light...

EndStepTop That is a respectably fine choice, thank you I will look into him.

Octrate Purphoros is hot but I would be very much not liked

Clokkwork your argument intrigues greatly me but I'm not sure I'm ready for the 5 colors sadly

Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir, Venser, Shaper Savant, Riku of Two Reflections, and Rafiq of the Many all look pretty good, though as a straight male, my opinions should be taken with a grain of salt. :P

Emrakul is an extraplanar, eldritch monstrosity whose pronouns, along with Ulamog and Kozilek's, are grammatical conveniences for the story's sake and are only nominally gendered in the same way a boat or a car can be referred to as 'he' or 'she'. It'd be dubious to imply the eldrazi have different sexes, much less genders. So it's all fair game.

Jace, Telepath Unbound LOOK AT HIM. Yeah, his backside actually is the creature that'd be your commander but LOOK AT HIM PULLING UP HIS HOOD. Also, smart is the new sexy, right?

Emrakul rejects your binary gender quantifications! Hereafter the correct pronoun will be 'sie'

Starke of Rath is the only attractive male I could find that was red (the missing color from azorius and golgari) and either mono colored or tri-colored that I think could also be a solid deck idea. While he may look bad, here are some ideas for him:

  • Use Homeward Path to get him back each time you use him. Expedition Map can get it too.

  • Use effects like Erratic Portal in response to prevent opponents from getting him.

  • If you play token makers, you can play cards like Sword of the Paruns to stack his ability so that you can still keep him. If you target your own token, and in response untap him and then target what you really want to kill, then he goes to that opponent and immediately back to you.

  • Cards like Mycosynth Lattice will let him kill planeswalkers, enchantments, and even lands.

Hope I've been of some help!
