Niv-Mizzet Parum Staples?

I was going to start building my first commander deck with O-kagachi as my commander, but I have had a change of heart and think that the new Niv-Mizzet is going to be a lot cheaper for me. So, with Niv's new abilities in mind. What do you guys think my Staples of my deck should be? I will be using quite a lot out of the new set since I see a lot of synergy in it with Niv, but what do you guys think I should do?
Also, tips on Sorcery / Instant to Creature balance might be. Do I go super heavy on instants and little creatures, 50/50? I have about a quarter of this deck already in mind already, I just need ideas of what to fill it out with.

Though yeah niv mizzet combo's very well with Curiosity effects, but commander is very much a playgroup meta matters format and if it's your first commander deck you very well might just want to pile up every card that niv mizzet can run into a pile and trim the pile down to 60 non lands and 40 lands (you will likely cut lands in the future, but 40 is a good starting point when you're new to the format).
From there play games with friends, playgroups, even just load the list into this site and play solitaire games of the deck, just get that experience in how you want your Niv-Mizzet, Parun to play.

Got a lot of great suggestions. Gonna start building the list I got so far. I have enough cards to make a functional deck, but a lot of the stuff I am thinking of putting in like Time Spiral which my local card store has a copy of.

Enter the Infinite could be a good win con. And to make sure you dont discard every card you draw add some infinite hand size cards like Library of Leng, Thought Vessel, Reliquary Tower are all a must have in your deck but even Nezahal, Primal Tide, Graceful Adept, Spellbook, Tamiyo, the Moon Sage, and Venser's Journal could help out

Also i would add cards that gives you tokens when you cast instants and sorceries such as Young Pyromancer, Docent of Perfection Flip, Talrand, Sky Summoner, Metallurgic Summonings, and Murmuring Mystic this way you can focus more on casting them and still have creatures Also Primal Amulet Flip, Mizzix of the Izmagnus, Charmbreaker Devils, Electrostatic Field, Sphinx-Bone Wand are a must have. Curious Homunculus Flip, Guttersnipe, Dynavolt Tower, and Pyre Hound would be a good add as well.

No he is not. The official set has not released yet, so that is why it is telling you that. He becomes legal Friday.
