Black/White Enchantment Protection?

Commander Deck Help forum

Hey there friends,

So I'm trying to make an okay Daxos the Returned pillowfort enchantment deck. Nothing too crazy/competitive, simply because I don't think he's all THAT great, but I wanted to turn his precon deck into something at least fun to play.

So, obviously, I'm going for an enchantment-based deck. Lots of controlling enchantments (many with bounce abilities to abuse with Daxos) and such. HOWEVER, I've noticed that, particularly in EDH, enchantment removal runs rampant. Particularly mass enchantment removal.

Soooo, my question to you merry few is if there are any spells or creatures that can protect my enchantments? I'm playing Orzhov, so nothing outside of those colors. I know of plenty of enchantment recursion stuff like Replenish, Open the Vaults, Second Sunrise, and the whatnot, so bringing enchantments back isn't necessarily a problem, but actually protecting them is a little tougher. Sure, there's Greater Auramancy, but is there anything else that, say, grants indestructibility to enchantments to stop those pesky boardwipes (outside of Avacyn)?

Greater Auramancy is going to be your best bet. Aside from that, you just need ways to bring them back because their destruction is inevitable.

Some cards recur/save themselves. Examples: Gift of Immortality, Cage of Hands, Flickering Ward, Fallen Ideal

I'd also recommend the full suite of God cards due to their indestructibility. Athreos, God of Passage, Erebos, God of the Dead, Heliod, God of the Sun.

There's also Fountain Watch, the "other" Greater Auramancy.

Other choices to dissuade people from attacking you might be Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker or No Mercy.

Cards like Marshal's Anthem can recur enchantment creatures.

Unfortunately there isn't really much to protect you from wipes before they happen.

I also run Daxos, and I basically just use Karmic Justice, Martyr's Bond, Greater Auramancy and a ton of recursion. And I do have Avacyn but that's not always realistic haha. I've found Auramancer with Gift of Immortality or Flickerform to be pretty potent.

EDIT: Oh and I run Sun Titan for smaller stuff
