Artifact Combos?
Commander Deck Help forum

Hi there! I am currently making an Arcum Daggson EDH deck that is combo/toolbox. I have Myr Turbine + Possessed Portal + Unwinding Clock , Darksteel Forge + Mycosynth Lattice + Nevinyrral's Disk , and several Mindslaver combos as my primary wincons, and was just thinking if you guys knew of any more artifact-related combos, especially any that are harder to disrupt.

My favorite combo is Basalt Monolith + Altar of Dementia + Mesmeric Orb with Narcomoeba and Kozilek, Butcher of Truth/Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre in the deck.
They don't really look like combo pieces until its too late, so that's why I like them!
Here's how it works:
Tap the monolith for mana. Pay the mana to untap it. Orb triggers. Mill one. Do this until you hit the narco (the eldrazi could reset the deck before you get to it, but that doesn't hurt). Narco triggers and then enters. Sac it to the altar targeting an opponent. Continue triggering orb until you mill an eldrazi, resetting the combo.

did you mean Narcomoeba? I don't see how Necroplasm does anything to help the combo from the graveyard aside maybe from dredging.

Well, Pili-Pala makes infinite mana of any color or combination of color when paired with Grand Architect. It's not 100% artifact, but it does make a lot of things possible.

Rings of Brighthearth + Basalt Monolith make infinite mana all on their own, and Arcum can fetch both. Add in Staff of Domination (get Rings at opponent's end of turn, untap, activate Arcum, copy the ability, and sacrifice two things to get both Basalt and Staff in the same turn), and you have infinite mana, life, card draw, and every single artifact you wanted out of your library (assuming Arcum isn't shrouded, but hexproofed, instead). This combo can be utilized at instant speed in response to removal, so you can simply draw your entire deck in response to something and proceed to kill your opponents. Harder to disrupt than the following combo.
Rings of Brighthearth + Basalt Monolith + Sensei's Divining Top are also infinite card draw. You need Rings in order to copy the Top's draw a card ability, so you simply add the Monolith to it in order to do this endlessly. Even if you can't get the Monolith for some reason, 3: Draw 1 card isn't terrible. This has to resolve at sorcery speed (since you have to re-cast the Top), so you can only do this during your turn and when the stack is empty.
Power Artifact combined with Basalt Monolith or Grim Monolith also provides infinite mana. Harder to destroy than creature-based infinite mana combos, anyway. Can be used to make infinite mana in response to removal.
Myr Turbine, Clock of Omens and Mycosynth Lattice make for a pretty good combination together. Use the Turbine at the end of an opponent's turn, in conjunction with the Clock, to make a bunch of permanents on your side of the field (this is essentially "Tap one untapped artifact you control: Put a 1/1 colorless Myr artifact creature token onto the battlefield"), then pull Mycosynth Lattice and use the tokens to untap Arcum a great number of times. If you made at least 6 tokens at an opponent's end step, that's 3 extra Arcum taps you get after fetching the Lattice, for example (notwithstanding, you can copy Arcum's activations using Rings, sacrifice the two tokens that just untapped him, and get a total of 6 artifacts. You don't need that many to end the game, but having options is always nice). This can lead to grabbing Rings of Brighthearth and Basalt Monolith, generating as much mana as you want, which then lets you use Rings and Myr Turbine to produce an endless number of 1/1 tokens with which you can end the game, for example, by spending mana to untap the Monolith repeatedly and paying for Rings to copy every activated ability. Or you can just pull Nevinyrral's Disk, Lattice, and Forge, and then see if your opponents quit.
So what do you do if Rings of Brighthearth, which is like your second Commander, gets exiled? Just tutor Clock of Omens, Sculpting Steel (or anything that copies artifacts. Copy Artifact and Phyrexian Metamorph work, but Arcum can't tutor them), Staff of Domination, and any artifact that produces at least 3 mana (Basalt Monolith, Grim Monolith, Gilded Lotus). Have the copy be Staff of Domination, then tap the mana producing artifact for 3 mana. Use Clock to untap the mana rock using both Staves, and then untap them for 2 mana, total. This cycle produces an extra 1 mana each time, which can allow you to draw your whole deck or set your life total as high as you wish using Staff of Domination. It's clunky, but I've had it save me a couple times before due to inopportune exile effects, so it's good to know that such an option exists. I believe you wouldn't even have to change any cards in your deck to perform this last one.

Or just Master of Etherium, so you're not having to run meh/off color cards to support such a thing.

Darksteel Reactor + Mycosynth Lattice + Null Rod .
Play Lattice, help everyone cast whatever they want!
Play Reactor, it will take 20 turns. Hopefully someone will win by then.
Play Rod, you're a dick.
