MH2 Updates! —June 16, 2021

Hello All, I tried to revamp/refresh the deck a bit today with the arrival of Modern Horizons 2. Picked up The new Sexy Enchantress Sythis, Harvest's Hand. Bolstered my land Package with Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth, Hall of Heliod's Generosity and A New Misty Rainforest, added some mana ramp with Sanctum Weaver and Wellspring. Upgraded my protection with Grasp of Fate and upgraded my digger from Ajani, Mentor of Heroes to Calix, Destiny's Hand, then I ordered some foil upgrades for a few of the staples in the deck, All That Glitters, Battle Mastery, Rancor, Sage's Reverie, and Ancestral Mask. I gotta say this deck is looking more Sex-proof than ever!! sadly I did have to make some cuts to the team, oine of which is my favorite sisters from another misters, the Mul Daya Channelers, they will be missed. Just not enuf synergy. I also cut Stasis Snare, Shalai, Voice of Plenty, Satyr Enchanter and Starfield of Nyx I moved to the sideboard. Let me know what ya'all think of the changes and if you think I missed anything from the new set? I did consider Toski, Bearer of Secrets pretty heavily, he's still a maybe. MOstly just for counter spell Hate tho. Cheers to all the other magic nerds out there, And may the mana be with you, always.

Having played Voltron decks in multi-player matches, I'd recommend focusing on person for the entire game. It's best to target whoever will be most problematic for the table, and try to take them out, then use that as goodwill with the other 2 players if possible. Voltron tends to run out of steam if it spreads its damage around too much.

Although they're pricey, cards like Grasp of Fate and Karmic Justice can help with hitting multiple targets at once, or putting removal deterrents on your side of the board. Promise of Loyalty is also a potential Voltron-friendly wipe effect.
