This is my big green creature deck, playing with power is ALWAYS fun!
The idea of this deck to throw my ahem weight around 'til someone dies, all the while, not stressing about mana.
Now to breakdown why each card is in the deck.
Forests... duh
Llanowar Elves,
Greenweaver Druid
s, Cultivates, and Somberwald Sages - basic early-game mana ramp
Asceticism and Bear Umbra - well, Asceticism is minor blanket protection while Bear Umbra is more personal protection, and that ability pairs really great with my Primeval Titan.
Overrun - used to be win-con, but now its just filler, replacement suggestions please.
Increasing Savagery
- creature buff, am willing to replace if something someone suggests interests me.
Boundless Realms - pure land grab, followed by creature with Bear Umbra attacking, and shenanigans ensue.
Primeval Titans,
Bellowing Tanglewurm
s,
Elderscale Wurm
s, and Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger - Power with a purpose.
Worldspine Wurms, Dungrove Elders, and
Primordial Hydra
's - Beef, beef, and more beef.
It That Betrays, and Artisan of Kozilek - umm, I just bought a Rise of the Eldrazi booster box, and.... yeah, the only ones that piqued my interest.
Elvish Piper - A means of laying some of the bigger meat out and offer an uncounterable way to put some more essential creatures out.
Usually this deck can get one or two big creatures out by turn four or five, but let me explain.
Turn 1 - Forest, Llanowar Elves
Turn 2 - Forest,
Greenweaver Druid
/Somberwald Sage
And by this point, I usually have one of two routes to go down and they are as such.
Turn 3a - Forest, Elvish Piper, and another Llanowar Elves if I have one
Turn 4a - Forest, activate Elvish Piper's ability and the world is my oyster!
And now for the other, more direct route.
Turn 3b - Forest, followed by one of the following: Primeval Titan (preferred),
Primordial Hydra
, one or two Dungrove Elder's, or a
Bellowing Tanglewurm
to set up some uninterrupted spanking.
As you can see, this deck has some power to it, but not a lot of protection from removal, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
