Sideboard

October 7th, 2016 : OK I LIED! I'M MAKING A DESCRIPTION NOW AT WORK DURING LUNCH BREAK! WEEEEEEE (I want to play MtG)

G/U Aetherworks or SimicWorks

Hello everyone, this is my very first brew and first deck posted on T/O. I really love this site and all the decks that people are coming up with and such, so bear with me and my first description of this deck, so enjoy!

With Kaladesh rolling in, and Origins and DoT rolling out ( Goodbye Collected Company and Languish, hello cute little Filigree Familiar! ), it's time that I introduce you to this awesome new card!

The process in making this deck was very weird in the beginning, it started with going B/G Delirium with Demon of Dark Schemes as an energy producer, with Ovalchase Daredevil constantly coming back from the graveyard with artifacts such as the fabricate creatures, and Aetherworks Marvel. I discussed this with my friends at first, and my friend, RainbowGuts, decided it would be better to go G/U because blue has a lot more energy creation right away.

With constant testing and continually changing the deck back and forth, we finally come up with this!

The objective of the deck is to hit the jackpot and get Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger out on turn 4, or big momma Emrakul, the Promised End and mess them up, but Ulamog is more preferred.

Your optimal starting 4 turns should be something like this:

Usually when you get Ulamog without any form of counter on Turn 4, you can outright win the game!

This is how Standard on Tuesday (10/7/16) went for me, unfortunately I didn't do too well

Round 1: (G/U Aether vs U/W Control) L 1-2

Something you have to wary about going against any decks with counterspells is that you need to have an answer to their answer. Do not get too excited to play Aetherworks Marvel right away when they have open mana to Void Shatter in. Somehow, I got extremely lucky to get turn 6 Ulamog and was able to Unsubstantiate my opponent's counterspell, thus allowing me to win the game, but my cockiness got in the way, and was my demise.

Round 2: (G/U Aether vs Grixis Emerge) L 1-2The complete opposite of this, Aetherworks did not pop up for me during the loses

Round 3: (G/U Aether vs Esper Control) L 0-2The same thing happened here as it did in Round 1, however, patience is a virtue.

So what to do against specific decks and what to sideboard?

Against aggro decks (specific): You want to side out the Thriving Turtle , all of 4 of them, for Consulate Skygate IF your opponent is running Smuggler's Copter or high power creatures that can kill your turtles, but not your gates

(More description will be added later, it's the end of my breaks at work :( )
