Have you considered using bounce or blink effects such as Trusted Advisor and Thassa, Deep-Dwelling to reuse the Aether Theorist/Thief? Shimmerwing Chimera/Riptide Chimera might be able to accomplish a similar set up with Aether Meltdown. Hope this helps.

Thanks moulcarve made some changes that you recommended; I removed the Servant of the Conduit for Aether Theorist and added Glimmer of Genius for some card draw. Proliferate is interesting but playing a card for one energy sounds a bit low in value but I look forward to a build with As Foretold and Suspend Cards such as Ancestral Vision with Aetherworks Marvel and some energy producers because that sounds spicy and any other opinions or critiques of the deck you know where to drop them

Maybe Aether Theorist instead of Battlefield Thaumaturge, I switched some instants out and didnt even realize thaumaturge was useless... The only problem I had with 20 lands is that I was drawing them constantly...

I love the deck! Maybe add in some proliferate, like Thrummingbird or Tezzeret's Gambit, just for that extra energy. You could add in Aether Theorist or Glimmer of Genius for some card advantage.

Thank you for the kind words! The deck has been performing much better since I added in more card draw. It helps the deck survive Vandalblasts more often and stay ahead when it gets ahead. I don't think I really like Unsubstantiate in the deck and am deciding between Spell Swindle and Mystic Confluence, but am leaning toward the confluence.

Sometimes your cascades aren't the best (See Aether Theorist and Decoction Module) but basically any spell in the deck will still forward your game plan. This isn't a deck that plays Maelstrom Wanderer and attacks for a bunch of damage every time. At least half the time you want to hang back. It's more about hitting critical mass and going off that way.

Im not really sure what to suggest for this deck.

Phytoburst is a fun one to play. I've enjoyed using it both in standard and now modern. I think Artisan's Sorrow is a bit better than Appetite for the Unnatural. It comes down to if you prefer scry or life gain really.

There has to be something better than Terrain Elemental you can put in here. Maybe a Battering Krasis or Aether Theorist.

I've thought of Attune with Aether, but I haven't had trouble with getting specific mana because of Hub and Spire. I'll see how I feel about that about playtesting some more.

I do like the idea of Whirler Virtuoso though, I've also thought about Aether Theorist, Shielded Aether Thief and Rogue Refiner too!
