Maybeboard


This is a deck centered around the enchantment Metallurgic Summonings. This is designed mostly around cards I already have with a few additional purchases, so in its current iteration I'm sure it doesn't have the ideal cards, but for me, it's very affordable to fill in the gaps to try something new.

Strategy is to control your opponent with counters and burn spells until you are able to get Metallurgic Summonings on board. This can be facilitated with draw and indexing cards. Things may look bad for you at this point, but the turnaround happens when the key enchantment comes out.

After that, you can clear creatures with burn spells or hit the player directly, creating an army of tokens with each spell. You're hoping to hit an X-cost spell to pump up a big token - you can make some pretty big tokens with Fall of the Titans or Bonfire of the Damned if you are able to play it for its surge or miracle cost respectively. Either that or delve for Temporal Trespass which is effectively a hasty 11/11. Haven't trialed it enough but the X-cost burn spells help if you are playing against a hard control deck too, especially considering countered spells still trigger surge costs.
