Went 3-0 in the swiss and then 2-0 in the top 4 to win the sweet gameday playmat.
G1 Mono W Aggro (2-1) - This matchup was all about incidental lifegain. I won game 1 with 1 life due to ram and courser triggers. Game 2 I never could get a board presence going. Game 3 I ran away with with answers and bigs butts in the way.
G2 - Abzan Rally (2-1) - Game 1 I had lethal on board and he drew a rally to swing for over 20 dmg. Game 2 & 3 played out how I wanted to with me building my board presence and exiling the important pieces of his combo. Doomwakes really helped here.
G3 Sultai Whip (2-0) - Not much of a struggle. He never could stop my plays.
SF Mono W Aggro (2-0) - Same as first round except I drew into doomwakes and removal early and he never had a chance.
F Sultai Whip (2-1) - Everyone I played in swiss made top 4. Game 1 was a route by me. Got to 40 life with a giant board presence before I finally found a Sigil. Game 2 I kept a hand with a single green source and two plains with 2 double green cards. He played ashiok on turn 3 and milled 6 green sources over the course of 3 turns. Never recovered. Game 3 he mulled to 6 and kept a 2 land carytid hand. I maggoted the carytid and overran him while he couldn't find land to play anything.
Allstars:
Doomwake Giants, I need to play 4 in the 75. They are too good against aggro and other decks.
Incidental Lifegain. It adds up fast against the aggro decks.
Sigil - Once one of these lands, it gets pretty bad for the opponent.
Disappointments:
Heliod - Just never did much and always wanted something different.
Changes to be made - Add in doomwakes, remove Heliod and Rhinos.
