Ditched the 2 whips for FNM. I think i was a good decision with only having 6 creatures in the deck.
So anyway ill try and remember how all the matches went.
Game 1: Got paired with a guy that just bought an event deck before the tournament... Needless to say it was a slaughter.
Game 2: Played a selesnia deck. I literally took away everything he could play so im not exactly sure what his deck was about ether haha.
Game 3: Played a mono blue deck and lost both games. Had him down to 2 life the first game but i couldnt keep up with him making everything unblockable with Thassa, God of the Sea.
Game 4: Had some great games. The first game i lost but it was pretty close. It was a red/green deck but he splashed black. The second game he scooped because he had a bad draw and i was on top of my game. Game 3 was awesome. I had him top decking right away and then neg 2'd lilly and grabbed a Gray Merchant of Asphodel. I played it for 8 next turn bringing him to 10 health. Next turn i tutored again with liily and put another merchant on top. I thought i would have him because another gary would be for 10 and i would win but he swung everything at lilly and killed her. Then he used domri to fight and kill my tormenter. So i played my gary next turn for 6 but he was still at 4 health. I was probably going to lose but i happened to top deck a shrieking affliction. He had no cards in hand so i knew that would be 3 damage but not enought to kill him. So i signed in blooded him for 2 damage, then duressed one of that cards away and then passed the turn and won. It was a pretty crazy win, and it was a guy that had all the mana symbols tattooed around his arm if that says anything.
