wallisface Thanks for the advice, I have been playing this deck with only Archfiend of Ifnir and often struggle to keep it in play long enough to trigger its ability and should have foreseen the problems of running twelve 4+ mana cost cards.

Obviously, I should change out the 4x Splendid Agony, but would replacing Archfiend of Ifnir with Black Sun's Zenith be an okay change?

In my actual deck at the moment I have Dismember and Tragic Slip to easily kill creatures. I assume that it would be okay if I replace Wasteland Scorpion and Nezumi Bone-Reader with those if I replace Archfiend of Ifnir.

Random card replacements

Again thanks for the ideas! I'm just playing against friends so I can't make it too good if you know what I mean. :)

Contagion Clasp would be good, and maybe Sickle Ripper - which you'd think would be a Scarecrow but hey-ho.

I have a couple suggestions that may help your deck:

-it would probably help you to have a one or two drop creature so that you don't have to wait until turn three to play a creature. I would suggest Sickle Ripper which can replace Cinderbones (Which in my opinion is not a valuable card. It's a 3 drop for a 1/1, and even though it can regenerate, it's not something you need to keep on the board.)

-you might want to run Obelisk Spider or at least sideboard it. It helps with flying, it also helps you gain life which is pretty valuable.

-your creatures are elemental, but they don't do anything to help each other out, meaning there isn't much synergy surrounding them. Meaning, it's okay to run spiders if need be. If you don't want to, I would recommend finding a way to help them work together for a more efficient deck.

Overall, I like your idea, and the wither theme is great. It definitely slows down your opponents' game play and helps you out a lot. It seems like a great deck, and you don't have to take my advice if you don't like it.

PS. this isn't a standard deck. The cards you are running are from older sets which means this deck is modern.

I would cut Geralf's Messenger and Sickle Ripper, they take up space in the deck and are not really needed, but you asked for sideboard help so I'll focus there.

If dredge is popular in your meta then Tormod's Crypt or Relic of Progenitus are musts in your sideboard. Also removal should be mainboard as you need to get rid of their Lotleth Troll. Control is a bit trickier when sideboarding, I would like to know what type of control, Death & Taxes, Hatebears, Jeskai, mono-blue, BUG, Ashiok U/B, the type of control determines how you need to side as counters are not going away and you need to play around them, but if you know what kind of control then I can help you with siding to beat their win-con.

Cheers.
