Hey, unfortunately it's going to difficult to be able to get Kathril to a power level 8-9 as the build around. Gluttonous Slug? Really?
When your best play with Kathril is to Entomb Zetalpa, Primal Dawn then it's pretty flawed to be high power level Commander. To make power level 8-9 you want to have an infinite combo as a win condition. The first things I would do to increase the power level is make your deck playable without Kathril. This means adding more ramp and using strategies that don't require Kathril to win. This also means cutting many creatures who are only good because they have keywords for Kathril.
Reanimation can be a high power level strategy using cards that also have synergy with Kathril. You already have lots of reanimation enablers, but lack actual reanimation. Couple of directions that I think have potential for a higher power level with Kathril are voltron with Worldslayer and Razacats reanimation combo with Razaketh, the Foulblooded. Could combine both of these strategies to make your deck more fun, more avenues to winning. Avacyn, Angel of Hope and Razaketh, the Foulblooded are good creatures with Kathril and they're also creatures who you want to reanimate. Sigarda, Host of Herons is another good creature with Kathril and she's good with voltron.
Eerie Ultimatum can reanimate entire creature combos including the entire Razacats combo and/or all equipment/auras in your graveyard including Worldslayer with Puresteel Paladin to free equip it all to Kathril/Avacyn/Sigarda. Eternal Witness can recur Ultimatum and Ultimatum can reanimate Witness to do it again. Ultimatum can have great interaction with Worldslayer since it can reanimate it as well as reanimate lands, mana rocks, mana dorks which Worldslayer will destroy. Razacats combo is using Razaketh to assemble the infinite combo of Leonin Relic-Warder + Animate Dead + Blood Artist who is the win condition. Main reason to include this win condition combo is it uses reanimation spells and reanimation is a good strategy with Kathril.
Flying creatures are good with Kathril and they're also good with equipment. When Kathril is indestructible/hexproof it can act like pseudo Avacyn this makes Worldslayer an option. Wipe the board of all permanents leaving only Kathril equipped with Worldslayer or reanimate Avacyn before you trigger Worldslayer. A voltron strategy requires some equipment, but more important are ways to cheat equipment onto the battlefield and cheat equip costs.

I haven't seen anyone mention Gluttonous Slug for counters. It's the only two-drop I have seen that will trigger the saproling combo.

3-1 Tuesday Modern
2-0 Burn Phoenix Retribution early on both games to nullify their board, Gluttonous Slug brick wall all-star.
2-0 Esper Control Both games were decided mostly from landing a timely second Nissa, Voice of Zendikar after the first one get's countered. Second game with a Yawgmoth, Thran Physician freshly landed my opponent casts Supreme Verdict , sacrificing 2 creatures and drawing 2 cards in response my next turn i play an Experiment One followed by Gluttonous Slug followed by Geralf's Messenger with an active Nissa. Opponent sighs and peeks at his next draw before conceding.
1-2 Eldrazi Tron First game opponent uses Karn, the Great Creator to search for Ensnaring Bridge then lock me out with Mycosynth Lattice . Next game i won with Assassin's Trophy , final game with a weak hand full of 1 drops, Chalice of the Void on 1, drawing more 1 drops.
Jund 2-0 Always fun longish interactive games, you have to really have to play patient and allow them to expend their resources, but the games always seem inevitable as our deck is full of resilient threats.
The adds worked well, it really feels like the additional role-players of Slug and Walker are a perfect fit. Plus the happiness you feel reading the flavor text after an opponent has to deal with Slug is golden.

Soo... i have no matchups with Slug or Walker, but after seeing the deck struggle this last go around i am trying to find better role players for what the deck is trying to do. So Tron is not a huge part of the meta and now Bridge from Below is banned i decided to take out Field of Ruin , Scavenging Ooze is just a bit slow, and found myself just not seeing the benefit of running any mana dorks. The deck is really greedy for specific colors of mana and not so much wanting to ramp out threats a turn earlier. The synergy of our 1 and 2 drops is such that we really want to establish a board first anyways. The case for Experiment One is that the regeneration is more important than trample. Having so many othe 1/1's and 0/1's were making it difficult for me to trigger evolve and get the train rolling on counters. I had considered Gluttonous Slug before but just never felt i had the room. But it's ability to be triggered by a 1/1, it's incredibly fat butt, it's ease to become a counter battery for larger creatures like Tarmagoyf and various Eldrazi through Retribution seems like a fit. As far as Hangarback Walker it seems like it really helps enables strengths in other cards. Sacrificing it to make Thopter tokens that i can continue to sacrifice for more value or put +1/+1 counters on to finish just seems to give more flexibility and reach.
