What Catds Do You Need?

Economics forum

Hello fellow magic players I am going to start a binder but before I do I need your help. I have over 5500 cards mostly 2015 and back. It is really hard to start a binder when there are this many cards. What I need from you is cards that you want or think other people want. The more suggestions I get the bigger my binder will get and trust me, it will get really big once it starts going!

Should probably be in either the General forum or the Trading Post forum.

Also, every card ever is from 2015 or before...?

Also also, how do you amass multiple thousands of cards while having no semblance of what people would want to trade for?

My advice: Start by listing your rares and mythics, and go from there.

My opinion is that if you don't know, find out what your most expensive cards are (that you are willing to trade) and start from there. No real need to toss up an absolute ton of rares worth $.50-1.00.

Serum Visions, Path to Exile, Dismember, Ancient Grudge, Cranial Plating, Relic of Progenitus, Gitaxian Probe, Delver of Secrets  Flip, Thought Scour, Combust, Deceiver Exarch, Pestermite, Gladecover Scout, Slippery Bogle, Ethereal Armor, Memnite, Signal Pest, Ornithopter are all really good commons/uncommons.

As for rares I am not gonna list all the money cards, You should be able to figure that out yourself.

The TappedOut forum is for site support threads. Moved.

5500 cards is not that many. Start with mythic rarities, then rares. After that go for specific high value uncommons.

My bad Epochalyptik I didnt mean to post this thread here I am not sure how to move it, and ChiefBell 5500 may not seem like a lot, but finding cards that people want and putting them on this site 1 by 1 takes time.

May 5, 2015 9:47 a.m.

Just start with the rates and mythics. Then, go through your commons and uncommons and pull anything that's playable in constructed.

Thanks for the idea but that is what I am trying to avoif. I dont want to spend hours looking through my cards I am looking for suggestions.

ChiefBell says... #13

Even if we give you suggestions you will still have to spend hours going through your cards. We can't do it for you; at some point you just have to do it yourself.

If you give me suggestions I can find those specific cards really quick and it will remind me of other cards that I can find quickly.

May 5, 2015 10:21 a.m.

That's nice and all, but it's honestly a waste of our time to give you a bunch of suggestions without a well defined range of sets. We'd just be guessing. You said M15 and back, which would mean M15 and older, which tells us almost nothing about what you could have.

To clarify what Epoch said - all we know so far is that you could have almost literally any card in existence.

it doesnt even take 30mins to sort 5500 cards by rarity, plus everyone will want something different meaning your $1 mythic but be a sweet casual EDH card, while no one here happens to be looking for your promo foil rare thats worth $120.

sort by rarity, add them to your trade binder, and then when ever you get bored go through your uncommons & tcgplayer looking for money uncommons and add to your trade binder, same with commons

I agree with mckin; Sort by rarity, add the rares and mythic rares first. If it's a land card, I don't care what rarity, add it, too. Use the list bijschjdbcd added, including some other well-known commons and uncommons, like Lightning Bolt. Think mechanics, such as Metalcraft or landfall. Go from there. Sorting the cards by rarity should be a breeze.

Binders typically include...

  1. Mythics
  2. Rares
  3. Higher value commons and uncommons (couple+ dollars)
  4. Foils
  5. Promos
  6. Alters
  7. Cards signed by the artist(s)
