I thought about a combo deck which is low budget and does not combo my opponent in turn 1 or 2 because my friends dont have that strong decks and for me its about having fun and not winning asap.
So, here is the idea:
the combo of Axebane Guardian(and any other defender) and Freed from the Real produces infinite mana. My first idea was to create a helix deck, but for me the card is too expensive. So i made a deck around a 3 mana burn cards.
They key cards for this deck:
Freed from the Real for the combo
Drift of Phantasms tutor for the most important cards plus a defender
Invoke the Firemind deals infinite damage and is 3 mana for tutor
Lavalanche
same as Invoke the Firemind
Axebane Guardian as the main mana producer
I made a few playtests and in the most cases I got all cards I need set in turn 5. I know the deck loses vs any kind of counter spells but most of my friends dont play blue so its not that important.
Now the point i really need some help. Since the deck needs all sorts of mana I need to play mostly lands which provide at least 2 sorts of mana or all (the reason why in only play 1 Mana Confluence is that I only have 1). So it would be great if you got any ideas of budget cards to fix this problem.
Feel free to suggest any cards which are useless or cards you think would fit in the deck. But please remember that the deck should be a LOW BUDGET deck :)
