First off, I would like to address an issue. I, an d i'm assuming other people too, are Pretty damn tired of seeing sorry attempts at budget "control" decks on tapped out. Especially if it doesn't say budget in the name. I understand there are new players and i don't mean to be a dick by saying this, but when the uwr hub is ALL budget decks........
anyways, this deck is still a work in progress, and advice would be appreciated. I have until Friday to make any final tweaks to this deck, so feel free to comment. :).
Also shout out to my boy Deezy for coming in 30th at the scg open with boros aggro, and also for beating reid duke 1 on 1. :P
Anyways, on to the deck.
Notable spells not included in the mainboard:
Aetherling: This is purely for my meta. I expect a lot of aggro decks when I play Friday, and a pseudo 7 or 8 drop is not where I want to be. However it is fine sb as an extra threat against mid-range/ control decks.
Assemble the legion: This is a spell I am still highly considering mainboarding as it gives me a nice board advantage. It also is pretty sweet to curve verdict into this. Not sure what to take out though, maybe Chandra?
Mizzium mortars. This spell is very sweet, but my opponents against a deck playing v erdict and anger, will likeley be playing threats slowly so as to not be blown out by a board wipe. This means I likeley will not be overloading mortars and will be using it to 1 for 1 a creature. Well I.M.O, magma jet hits a lot of the creatures mortars can hit, and lets me scry 2 as well. letting me set up better draws. I do play a mortars n the sb for matchups like jund, where magma jet dosn't do much for me.
counterspells: For me, in the mainboard, it was either chandra, or counterspells. If i mainboard counterspells, I wouldn't be able to sb in chandra, however if i mb chandra, i would be able to side in counterspells. Also, again, Chandra is better against my meta (mostly aggro) then counterspells. Chandra can also give me card advantage. There are, however, conterspells in the sideboard for the control matchups, because counterflux is amazing
Well that's al for now, I will be uploading a FULL description of the reasonings for my specific card choices soon. So i hope you like my deck :)
