A 26/26 creature with trample on turn four? It may sound unlikely. Just cast Kavu Predator on turn two, then cast Rest for the Weary with landfall on your opponent once on turn three and twice on turn four. Trample away!

This deck centers around gaining life, buffing Voracious Wurm and Kavu Predator early, and beating down your opponent. Meanwhile, you can usually cast Chalice of Life   and immediately flip it to Chalice of Death   to start burning your opponent. Finally, Felidar Sovereign provides a backup win condition.

Lifegain:
  • Heroes' Reunion : can be cast on your opponent to grow Kavu Predator , but also a good life gain spell on its own.
  • Rest for the Weary : again, can be cast on opponent or yourself.
  • Chaplain's Blessing: an good turn one play, but can also be played at any point if you have extra mana, or saved to buff a Voracious Wurm .
  • Life Goes On: almost as good as Chaplain's Blessing, but can be far better if the morbid condition triggers.
  • Elixir of Immortality: good lifegain and a way to recover your graveyard, which is nice. Also, you may be able to trick your opponent into wasting a removal spell on this, leaving the way clear for:
  • Chalice of Life   : if you've played some lifegain spells, you can usually cast this and flip it to Chalice of Death   by turn 3, certainly by turn 4. Then, at 5 damage per turn, the game will end rather quickly. Getting two of these in one game is fun.

Defense:

  • Perimeter Captain : also a good turn one play. It'll keep you safe from most creatures the opponent can summon in the first couple turns.
  • Cathedral Membrane: can also be played on turn one, as sacrificing two life in a deck like this is rather insignificant. This is great in the late game: when it dies, it will kill practically any creature it blocked, regardless of first strike.
  • Valor Made Real : an excellent response if your opponent is swarming you. You can play it on Cathedral Membrane for what amounts to a boardwipe. Slaughtering armies of tokens with a two-mama defender is very satisfying.

Offense:

  • Kavu Predator : the main beater in this deck. Play lifegain spells on your opponent and then trample them and any hapless defenders with your newly-buffed beast.
  • Voracious Wurm : a secondary beater. In combination with low-cmc lifegain spells like Chaplain's Blessing and Life Goes On, you can cast it to be a 6/6 or 7/7 on turn three, or a 12/12 on turn four.

Other:

  • Swift Justice : this card is to protect your creatures, but especially Kavu Predator from creatures with deathtouch. The fact that it also gives the creature lifelink is a great bonus. If you cast this on a large Kavu Predator and attack, you can then combo the lifegain from that attack into summoning an even more massive Voracious Wurm on the same turn.
  • Reclaim : to return destroyed creatures or any other card you need from your graveyard. It's better than Elixir of Immortality, but Elixir of Immortality returns all your Reclaim s to your library.
  • Felidar Sovereign: it's quite likely that you'll get more than 40 life in every game, but you don't want to start with this in your hand, so I only have one in this deck. It's not a win condition most players will expect.
  • Blessed Reversal : another answer to decks that flood the board with tokens.
  • Fog: if you need another way to stall early game, or if you need to keep one of your creatures from dying in combat.
  • Nature's Claim: an extremely inexpensive enchantment or artifact removal spell, with the added bonus that it buffs Kavu Predator .
  • Reclaim : add to your deck when you face a lot of removal.
  • Viridian Harvest : an option to make opponents think twice about destroying your Chalice of Life   .
I also built a non-budget version of this deck where, just for fun, you can grow your Wurms to 102/102 (with Ajani's help).
