Idea is to get ramping and then build devotion to make Reverent Hunter huge, get the Worldspine Wurm trampling, or to make Polukranos, World Eater so very ugly.

No More Heroes. — Oct. 23, 2013

Decided to drop the Heroic cards before playing last Friday. The deck just didn't feel strong trying to incorporate heroic in a deck that wasn't built around it. Instead, the focus was shifted almost exclusively to Devotion/Monstrosity/Counters and just going for as monogreen a feel as possible. Get bigger, faster.

The deck went 2-1 on Friday night. Round 1 was 2-0 vs a RWB deck that couldn't come up with the right answers to a Kalonian Hydra/Monstrosity combo. Round 2 was 2-1 vs a deck with a Selesnya theme going that turned the first game into a crawl after I started drawing all lands. Round three was 1-2 vs a Rakdos deck that ran some Desecration Demon Master of Cruelties and Lifebane Zombie that I made some misplays against. Also found that it is possible to cast and monsterize an Arbor Colossus in the same turn in order to destroy a Desecration Demon.
