Have you added anything new? I tried kaalia in this just for fun and it actually worked really well. Also added dragons lords servant and dragon speaker shaman. Any thoughts on it?

Pestie89 depends, the latest major update as mentioned above is from July 27th. I'm not surprised for Kaalia, tho personally I'm not a fan of the card and won't run it. I strongly dislike Dragonlord's Servant and Dragonspeaker Shaman. They're not bad cards but they're far less efficient than straightforward ramp. First of all it's a discount on a body, which I don't run except for Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma, because obviously it's susceptible for removal, and the colorless mana cost really is not a problem. Plus, The Ur-Dragon's discount with colorless is sufficient enough, you don't want to risk having too much of these cards while you'd never have enough lands. I'd rather run a 2 and 3CMC ramp spell instead because lands are less susceptible to removal and you're colour fixing which is extremely important.

In the process of building the deck out and making some changes on my end, what do you think about me removing faeburrow for selvala?

heavyuser Selvala, Heart of the Wilds is a great addition but don't sleep on Faeburrow Elder. If you can afford the former you can afford the latter, I'd suggest you make a spot for both of them.

With the release of Kaldheim do you plan on slotting in Esika  Flip and The World Tree ? The tree is just a strict upgrade to a basic forest or really any other land and Esika  Flip is just a great value engine if you get her out on the field, especially in your deck due to the amount of legends her front side is even viable

Shalai, Voice of Plenty or Bloom Tender or Rhythm of the Wild ?

I love the deck a ton, I have been working on my Dragon tribal for a while now. Gotta keep making changes!

HorseTribalLord Not a fan of Esika, God of the Tree  Flip in that deck. Could be fun but I don't feel like making it fit for now. I might get The World Tree sometime, I just didn't get the chance to make any upgrade to the deck but it does fit.

Stumpy123 that's right, don't feel like dropping +50€ on a single card.

LilMissWiz for the price tag alone, Faeburrow Elder over Bloom Tender any day. Really not a fan of Shalai, Voice of Plenty , especially in this deck. I prefer Asceticism . I love Rhythm of the Wild .

There's alot of talk about Tiamat being the new best dragon commander > The Ur-dragon.

Would you consider changing commanders or putting Tiamat in the deck as part of the 100?

Danwinzz2 So is Tiamat the best commander on power-level alone ? I can get behind that argument. However, I believe seeing a Tiamat in the command zone paints a huge target on your back, much more so than The Ur-Dragon . Personally, swapping The Ur-Dragon for her didn't even cross my mind. Every time she ETB the first time during every game you just pick the same 5 dragons ? She sounds very repetitive as a commander, not nearly as fun as The Ur-Dragon to me. That said, as part of the 100 ? Absolutely. Will it paint a huge target on your back if it ETB ? Absolutely.

Also Narrash, what would you remove from your current decklist to put in Tiamat or Scion of Draco

Danwinzz2 a difficult question but one I should answer before actually buying the card. Rationally speaking there are several candidates. I feel like the prime candidates would be Dragonlord Ojutai , Dragonlord Kolaghan and Dromoka, the Eternal . However, for my personal deck, I'm committed to playing all 10 dragon legends of Tarkir, so my choice would be very different. First one to go is definitely Golos, Tireless Pilgrim . I hear it, it's a great card, mana sink and ramp. But considering the commander, turn 5 is precisely the turn when you should be playing a dragon (6 drop thanks to Eminence, more thanks to ramp). The ramp is nice and we're always looking for more in this deck but the reason you should play Golos, Tireless Pilgrim is for the ability. But the very few times it managed to stay on the battlefield, I just found myself not using it because I'd rather cast something from my hand. Overall, I'm just not a fan of Golos, Tireless Pilgrim in my particular version of the deck. There goes the spot for Scion of Draco . For Tiamat , I'm thinking Gadrak, the Crown-Scourge or Hellkite Tyrant . I played Gadrak, the Crown-Scourge for the sole reason that it offers a turn 2 dragon defender (still playtesting it). Honestly, I just like the design, I think it's a fun little card, but of course the ceiling is quite low. Hellkite Tyrant on the other hand offers quite a higher ceiling. However, on all the games I've played, I never took more than 2 artifacts, mana rock at that, which this late in the game made no difference. I'm sure it must feel incredible to play it against an artifact deck but I don't have one in my meta and having one card being a silver bullet to a specific strategy in commander isn't how I want to play it. The more I think about it the more cutting Eladamri's Call for Tiamat makes some sense. I keep instants low because I don't want to leave a mana source untapped with this deck. It made for a good tutor but the only non-dragon creatures I'd ever want to tutor would be Xenagos, God of Revels and Sylvia Brightspear . Tiamat wouldn't be able to fetch Xenagos, God of Revels but it would serve the tutoring purpose better.

Interesting new dragon revealed today. Green Dragon

Perhaps could have him ETB, and when you play another dragon that does damage spread to different targets like Drakuseth, Maw of Flames or Dragonlord Atarka . Can do 1 damage to different targets and kill them all.

I agree with his statement that Scion of the Ur-Dragon is combo-heavy and if that is your playstyle I offer to let you check out my deck Fire-Breathing Menagerie

Awesome Deck. The only thing I could suggest is to add Jodah, Arch-mage Eternal. Him, in combination with Morophon, the boundless... turns into free drops of all mutli-colored creatures! That, with Miirym already on the board, can end the game immediately. I have been lucky enough to pull it off a few times with my Tiamat deck and it is a blast!

Could you add Niv-Mizzet the Firemind

April 14, 2023 3:28 p.m.

Narrash says... #17

Blade1945 The precon contains Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind which I quickly replaced because he shines in a deck built around himself. The is a bit risky too. Pinging 1 is irrelevant in this deck and if we want card-draw, Firkraag, Cunning Instigator works different but better. If you have a similar deck do feel free to replace one dragon you dislike for Niv-Mizzet.

This deck is awesome, and I would definitely be scared facing it. I have my own dragon deck, and I do wonder, why don't you have Lozhan, Dragons' Legacy, Tiamat, or Earthquake Dragon in this? I've got my own dragon deck, and they work pretty decently in there.
