this is my take on Jon Finkel's modern storm deck. I am somewhat limited on money so I had to budget the landbase down to no fetch or shock lands (saved me a couple hundred bucks right there) and also I'm not going to get Serum Visions. it's a great card, but just not worth more than $2-3.

I really think Guttersnipe is an underrated card and that its not really had its time to shine. It's beautiful! Sure it's a small 2/2 but for the price its just GOOD. I've seen on other sites that people complained that it just takes up to much mana and then gets killed by swords or even a shock or whatever, and sure that's true, but when you can put a snipe out on turn two and then an electromancer turn 3 and just combo off right there (which I've done plenty of times) why wouldn't you run it?? even if you somehow dont draw into a wincon, I've had a coupla times where I just made a lot of mana, drew some cards, Past in Flames, made more mana, drew more cards and then didnt even have to cast a grape or EtW because the Guttersnipe finished it for me. If game two the opponent realizes the threat that's fine, I'll just use the 'mancer to finish them off the old fashioned way.

this decks runs almost identical to other storm decks except that I don't NEED to hit you with a big grapeshot ect. I can just as easily play with two lands and slowly put stuff in the grave that doesn't do much and then Past in Flames for a lot of mana and STILL no storm spell and kill you. I actually end up boarding out some of the storm cards games 2-3.

Any and all discussion on how you think this deck will do/ advice on main and sideboard options are more than welcome. +1 if you like the idea, and thanks for taking a look!

Updates Add

-classic storm win, get a electromancer out, cast a buncha spells, past in flames to cast them again and then grapeshot them.

-altered storm win. Get a Guttersnipe out turn two via the many ramp spells, Goblin Electromancer on turn 3 and then play several spells (notably less than needed for the classic storm win) and kill with our without a PiF or Grapeshot.

-guttersnipe win land the sniper on turn two and then pass. turn three rolls around and play some ramp spells, maybe a bolt, some draw spells, and oh your opponent is dead. example play would be opening hand mountain x2, Desperate Ritual, Pyretic Ritual x2, Manamorphose, Guttersnipe

t1- mountain pass

t2- draw a Desperate Ritual, play mountain, Pyretic Ritual, snipe, pass.

t3- draw a Lightning Bolt, Drop a mountain, use Manamorphose to make a red and a blue and draw a grapeshot, play the 3 rituals, and then bolt and grapeshot and you're done!

the above walk through is a turn 3 storm win that DOESN'T use Goblin Electromancer. Not impressed? well that's about all I've got so.
