Enchantment (1)

outlive or overrun

Norn's Annex & Manabarbs are a pain to deal with (the former is sideboarded for versing weenie decks). With Exquisite Blood out, every time they tap a land or (vs nonwhite) attack, I they lose life, I gain life.

Suture Priest + Manabarbs adds a steep loss of life to casting creatures. The priest offsets manabarbs damage for me as the creatures summoned/mana ratio is very high in this deck.

Vault of the Archangel is awesome. It isn't redundant with Exquisite Blood so for my creatures, every 1 damage dealt gives me 2 life.

The planeswalkers make the deck brutal. Chandra, the Firebrand makes lingering souls and timely reinforcements that much dumber and her ultimate -6 isn't hard to get with a ton of chump blockers. Sorin, Lord of Innistrad's -2 is too good and Elspeth Tirel has excellent versatility.

I might want to add more control aspects to this deck. I haven't decided or playtested it too much so any opinions would be appreciated.

Some threats I can see that would hurt your deck are Curse of Death's HoldMTG Card: Curse of Death's Hold, Elesh Norn, Grand CenobiteMTG Card: Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Massacre WurmMTG Card: Massacre Wurm, Ratchet BombMTG Card: Ratchet Bomb, and Steel HellkiteMTG Card: Steel Hellkite. I might sideboard a couple Stony SilenceMTG Card: Stony Silence and maybe one or two NevermoreMTG Card: Nevermore

Sooo board wipe. Go figure haha! I'm considering adding Intangible VirtueMTG Card: Intangible Virtue or something to help acount for that type of thing/speed things up- but nevermore sounds like a good way to go too! Consider it boarded

Phyrexian Rebirth could be fun in this deck

You could use Blood Artist as a way to gain value off of creatures you chump block with. Not only does it re-fund the life you may have spent to cast said creatures, but it also gives you a way out from a board wipe. It's also quite silly with an Exquisite Blood out.

I liked the suggestion so I swapped 2 suture priests for blood artists. I still don't know how I feel about blood artist. When I play vs it, I just use one spell to kill the artist before I use the board wipe

Blood Artist is a card that has a huge possibility to synergize well with this deck, and it is my favorite card that has come out of its set, and thanks for taking it into consideration. Did you play test it with them yet?

I'd suggest you take out Sorin and put in Isolation Cell.

And holeh balls is this card amazing for you.

Not only does it cause their cards to cost 2 more, if they do pay the mana, they still take the damage thanks to mana barbs <3

I actually was thinking of making a mana barbs deck recently haha.

It's an interesting card, but it'd definitely be a sideboard card, even vs creature decks, I still kinda like card:Norn's Annex. Sorin is too strong of a win condition to take out, though I would consider replacing 1 or 2 with Intangible Virtue ... in fact, I'ma go do that.

If you are interested in a mana barbs deck, check out Vapor Barbs

Sources point towards yes? Thought I'd mention Sanguine Bond for combo with Exquisite Blood.

I totally missed Manabarbs I was already thinking of splashing red for Blood Moon in my Azkaban [Modern Marshmallows] *Primer* deck. The barbs sound ULTRA painful with Ghostly Prison, Sphere of Safety, Suppression Field. Cheers!!!

I would recommend adding Cliffhaven Vampire in to the deck. It allows for a combo to trigger with Exquisite Blood and it resolves when your opponent is at 0. but also He can boost your effects for when you gain life.

if you need more sideboard cards Leyline of Sanctity stops Lava Spike, Thoughtseize and Gifts Ungiven. And with both Lingering Souls and Timely Reinforcements I would highly recommend a Gideon, Ally of Zendikar at the 4 drop slot. Not sure what to cut for him though, but he should have some room in here.
