A pig farmer fattens his pigs before he sends them to slaughter.

Likewise the aim of this deck is to fatten your creatures up and then sacrifice them in order to deal damage directly to the player whilst scooping some life for yourself using Rite of Consumption and the activated ability of Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. Along the way you can also use Essence Harvest without having to sacrifice a creature.

There are lots of cards that are useful for fattening up creatures in this deck:

Increasing Savagery is great and works well in combo with Corpsejack Menace. Likewise Primordial Hydra is horrific in combo with Corpsejack Menace.

Revenge of the Hunted is a fairly useful card with a relatively high CMC. It can be cast as a miracle, on the other hand, which is insane.

Perhaps the star of the show is Wolfir Silverheart . This card can turn even unthreatening creatures into heavy hitters for a very low cost. Pair it with a demon or, alternatively, with another Wolfir Silver for max effect.

Add some extra mana with Birds of Paradise and you should be able to get 2-3 massive creatures out in 5 turns at least.
