Capitalizing on Metalcraft effects and synergy between Artifacts and creatures. I want to focus on getting useful artifacts out soon so that any creatures with Metalcraft can be effective ASAP. Living Weapons are a major part of the deck. Most cards either have a Metalcraft effect or play nicely with Artifacts (like Kemba, Kha Regent).

This deck's current incarnation fares decently against other decks but really lacks the capability to deal with almost any type of control. The best things I have are Swiftfoot Boots and the Indomitable Archangel , but I don't have enough of them at the moment.

I've run into problems against flyer in the past so I've made sure to account for that possibility with Skinwing , Auriok Sunchaser and Thopter Assembly in the main deck and Strandwalker in the sideboard.

Made changes to reflect the deck's current iteration. Dropped a lot of Metalcraft creatures and decided to focus more heavily on equipment. This allows me to keep the Etched Champions at the center of the deck with a lot of alternate ways to play. Puresteel Paladin and Kemba, Kha Regent play especially well together. Living weapons can serve as chump blockers if necessary to buy time for the Champions to get out, hopefully with some Argentum Armor attached.

The deck is not without its weaknesses. Unless I can get Angelic Armaments or Moonsilver Spear out and equipped, fliers can be bad. I have also not fared well against mono-green ramp / pump / trample. But it is a very fun deck to play regardless.

I tried, briefly, splashing black to run Phylactery Liches, but found this detracted from the deck rather than enhancing it. Getting enough black in to justify the swamps ends up taking away too many good cards and plains, making it potentially difficult to get enough land for Paladins and spells when they might be desperately needed. I still think it would be cool to put the phylactery counters on the Champions, so if you have a suggestion to make that work I would appreciate it!
