Pioneer Budget UR (Izzet)

SmarmyMarmy

Sideboard

This is my favorite deck to play in Pioneer right now, built from what I could find in my collection and scavenge from my LGS, and it's cheap! Under $60 to play a fun, exciting format? I'm in! Sadly I haven't had many Pioneer tournaments get off there ground at my LGS, but the deck has done very well, winning about 1 game to every 3 on average. Gone toe-to-toe against a home-brew Golos deck and an tuned Feather deck and had a ton of fun.

Not much feels better than Ensoul Artifact and swinging with a 5/5 Darksteel Citadel on turn 3, often threatening to end the game by turn 4 or 5 if they can't put up a defense. Ensoul even helps upgrade Wild Slash and Stubborn Denial. Ol' Stoney, Emry, and Steel Overseer help overcome tough defenses if the game goes long.

Hit the other side of the board in multiples of 5 with enhanced creatues, and put the fear the Shrapnel Blast back into the game.

My build was first inspired by this one here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozVoPSlNHOw

[Edit: MagicWizard1993 pointed out my incorrect turn to swing with Darksteel]
