Izzet a killer combo?

Rather typical (red and) blue scepter control deck that features two combos centered around the Izzet Guildmage to win the game (sometimes as early as the 3rd turn):

1. Izzet Guildmage + Lava Spike + Desperate Ritual = infinite damage

2. Izzet Guildmage + Training Grounds + Manamorphose = "infinte" card draw + mana (wins by playing a Banefire or starting the first combo)

Muddle the Mixture is played as tutor since it can find any 2cc card in the deck (including Izzet Guildmage and Isochron Scepter). Otherwise the deck contains mainly the typical 1cc and 2cc spells that can be imprinted in the Isochron Scepter.

The maybeboard contains a few cards I'm considering for the sideboard that should be effective against aggressive creature and/or control decks.

I'd love to hear your comments and suggestions on how to improve this deck even further and thank you for your help.
