This deck is strategically made out of cardboard cards so that you can fling them at your enemies if you get upset. :)

Basics:

Many decks in the meta (like Rakdos Midrange) don't run anything that can kill and indestructible creature like Athreos, God of Passage, even in the sideboard. You have discard for the ones that do.

Most of the creatures in this deck were chosen because they can both survive Yahenni's Expertise and be casted using it. Silverquill Silencer is the exception because I needed a 2 cost that could crew Reckoner Bankbuster and would also count as 2 devotion for Athreos, God of Passage.

If you Yahenni's Expertise out a Wedding Announcement   you can have the token come out after the -3/-3 effect ends

Silverquill Silencer is best played after a discard so you can name a card you know is in their hand

Yahenni's Expertise & Avacyn, the Purifier   will only kill Silverquill Silencer and daybound Graveyard Trespasser  . because of this I like to pay for Concealing Curtains  's Transform cost or Reckoner Bankbuster's card draw instead of casting anything the turn before playing it to switch to night and avoid killing the Graveyard Trespasser  .

Sideboard Show

3x Brutal Cathar   Replace the board wipes with these if the matchup prefers spot removal or if their creatures are more than 3 toughness.

1x Damping Sphere it's Damping Sphere

2x Despark & 1x Fracture good against plainswalkers, optional replacement for Heartless Act if the opponent is running counters.

1x Duress 1 more for control matchups

3x Pithing Needle plainswalkers and artifacts

2x Rest in Peace anti graveyard

1x Starnheim Unleashed need more creatures or flying blockers, bad against control

1x Yahenni's Expertise extra board wipe for aggro

I would like to be able to use Athreos, God of Passage as a creature but the deck doesn't stack devotion that well at the moment.

Can you playtest my deck? I'm looking for feedback on how it matches up on other meta and non-meta decks.

Rakdos Vampires is the most popular deck by far taking up 22.4% of the meta. This deck plays Archfiend of the Dross. Because of this I chose Heartless Act as my backup removal for when Fatal Push fails. If you play it on Dross on your end step they will loose the game by their upkeep. :)
