Kaladash changes —Oct. 1, 2016

I took out Confront the Unknown and added Blossoming Defense. it allows me to flip Lone Rider or provide anti-removal.

I added Angel of Invention and took out Always Watching.

I also took out Lambholt Pacifist  Flip and added Smuggler's Copter to help with card advantage.

I played in a Standard Tournament today and went 3-0 and won. I played U/W spirits twice and mono white humans in the final. I went 2-0 in each round. Gisela, the Broken Blade was awesome for me. I used Eldritch Evolution in three of the matches to look for her. I sacrificed Thalia's Lieutenant each time after he added counters to my humans.

I never played Thalia, Heretic Cathar or Archangel Avacyn  Flip in any matches. I may add 2x more Eldritch Evolution when Collected Company cycles out. I like being able to tutor for the cards I need at the moment.

As always any advice would be great.

I have yet to see Lone Rider  Flip do well in any decks, how does it work for you?

I was running him but swapped him out for Hamlet Captain which I found to be far more useful, especially when used with Heron's Grace Champion

Those two alone have won me many games.

It works incredibly well. I can flip him turn three have the time and then beating with a 4/4 monster. Between thalia's Lieutenants, always watching, confront the unknown and giesla I can flip him with ease. A hand I see a lot off the draw is a thraben inspector, lone rider turn 2 drop and another 2 drop and a confront the unknown to boost him and flip on turn 3. Play test it a few hands and see how easy it is.

I could switch the Lambholt for two hamlet and that could help flip faster. I may try that out later.

I'll try that for sure!

Also, two other cards to consider, Repel the Abominable has done me wonders.. and it'll be even better once cards like Languish rotate. Then there's Dazzling Reflection I know life gain cards can be pretty underwhelming, but it can be a great response to cards like Prey Upon or big, difficult to deal with creatures like Ormendahl, Profane Prince  Flip
