Sideboard

The ultimate goal of the deck is to get a ridiculous amount of mana in order to make one gigantic alpha strike, or simply to get an insurmountable board. You either try to wipe the board with Polukranos, World Eater, or dump 10+ mana on a Hydra Broodmaster to get tons of creatures.

Every creature beside the fatties is there to support the ramp. When you're ready for your alpha strike , you either use Hunter's Prowess to get through, or if you used it early to get a card advantage, wipe the board with In Garruk's Wake and just go for the kill.

There is a critical mass of 15-20 mana that you need to acquire with this deck. Once you reach that point you're really hard to stop.

The cards

Voyaging Satyr and Sylvan Caryatid: Instead of going for 4 caryatid, I went 2/2 with satyrs, because they are just too great with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx

Gild and Hero's Downfall: I could replace all gilds for hero's dowfall, but I really like the extra ramp it provides, and the fact that it exiles the creature instead of destroying it.

Garruk, Apex Predator: This guy really helps to get you where you want. Deathtouch creatures to stall the board until you get enough power, an answer to planeswalkers, and a way to get back in the game if you are low on life (it's especially important against aggro decks, because you really need to buy time. Targeting your own fatties usually reduces the chance of an aggro deck to catch up)

Chord of Calling: In addition to the obvious element of surprise, I use this spell to deal with variance. Sometimes I have all the mana accelerators I need on the board but no fatties in my hand, sometimes it's the opposite. Chord of calling really helps with that. I often summon a Karametra's Acolyte right before my turn, and get an important boost of mana that was not expected from my opponent.

I feel the rest pretty much speaks for itself.

Conclusion

That's it! What I like with ramp decks is that they allow you to use fun spells that would normally never see any standard play because of their cmc (like In Garruk's Wake or Hunter's Prowess).
