Such a great build, Arena is broken, it's just broken.

Yeah it is really powerful. Packs a punch.

I like the deck but i feel that replacing the Gatekeeper of MalakirMTG Card: Gatekeeper of Malakirs with GravecrawlerMTG Card: Gravecrawlers may speed up the kill.

Ooooh, but the gatekeepers are just so powerful. Instead maybe I should take out 2 Confidant... I don't know, it is very fast though. And alot of power...

Nightmare LashMTG Card: Nightmare Lash could act as extra copies of LashwritheMTG Card: Lashwrithe perhaps, Mire's TollMTG Card: Mire's Toll could be efficient discard, awesome btw.

Love the deck. Definitely incredibly difficult to beat. Also, nice AC/DC reference. +1

Yeah I had Nightmare LashMTG Card: Nightmare Lash in here, but it just isn't as powerful as some of the others like Geralf's MessengerMTG Card: Geralf's Messenger or as versatile as LashwritheMTG Card: Lashwrithe. Yep, AC/DC reference, lol. I also call this deck "Korlashwrithe", as a combination of Korlash and Lashwrithe, because they are two of the main cards that can make a turn 5 10/10 regenerating monster.

I really like this deck, mostly because I have all but 8 cards so it's not too expensive for me, but does the lack of hand disruption ever hurt you? It seems like you would atleast want 4 Inquisition of KozilekMTG Card: Inquisition of Kozilek/ThoughtseizeMTG Card: Thoughtseize to disrupt your opponent.

Yeah, I agree with huginnson, I'm going to take out the Diregraf GhoulMTG Card: Diregraf Ghouls for ThoughtseizeMTG Card: Thoughtseize, so there is no need for Vampire LaceratorMTG Card: Vampire Lacerator then. Yeah, for some reason the whole ThoughtseizeMTG Card: Thoughtseize thing never really crossed my mind. How useful that would be... That would be pretty solid, no?

Also this is one of my weakest sideboards, I can't just seem to figure it out - any suggestions?

April 22, 2012 4:40 p.m.

Grafdigger's CageMTG Card: Grafdigger's Cage (siding out Geralf's MessengerMTG Card: Geralf's Messenger) could stop those funky Unburial RitesMTG Card: Unburial Rites decks lurking about so Elesh Norn, Grand CenobiteMTG Card: Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite never makes it to the field. DuressMTG Card: Duress could compliment an Inquisition of KozilekMTG Card: Inquisition of Kozilek/ThoughtseizeMTG Card: Thoughtseize discard package and give you a better matchup against combo/control, or the new Appetite for BrainsMTG Card: Appetite for Brains coming out can hit both Splinter TwinMTG Card: Splinter Twin and all of Urzatron's bombs.

Oh yeah, graveyard removal. I prefer Relic of Progenitus in this deck for that. Okay and I also will do some duress. Thanks!

This deck scares me, I love it +1. Would appreciate a comment on Phyrexian Queen's Rage.

Geth's VerdictMTG Card: Geth's Verdict will get rid of pro black and hexproof creatures.

vishnarg says... #22

I think Geths Verdict is very good but Gatekeeper is just that much more versatile... and it deals more damage overall.

Maybe replace 8 Swamp s with 4x Verdant Catacombs and 4x Marsh Flats ? So that you don't just keep drawing land when you don't want/need it.

Also, 24 land seems like kind of a lot. You could probably go 22-23 and add in some more spot removal. Smother is exceptional in Modern, as it hits pretty much anything relevant.

If you really want to push the power of this deck, you should add in Abyssal Persecutor . You would need some more removal to get him off your board, but it could be fun.

The lands do indeed support the rest of the deck, yet I must agree that 22 may be fine. I just don't have the cash to commit 8 fetches to this deck considering how much I play it. However, wouldn't Desecration Demon be straight up better than Abyssal Persecutor considering I have only 6 kill cons for him?
