A B/R midrange deck working with the treasure mechanic in Ixalan. You either use the generated treasures to ramp into one of the threaths (Glorybringer or Herald of Anguish) ahead of curve or use them for the ability of Marionette Master to OTK your opponent.
Your treasure generator:
-Captain Lannery Storm a great early game card which has haste, provides consistent treasures and can grow big if needed
-Dire Fleet Hoarder a simple 2/1 for 2 mana which generates value when it dies
-Trove of Temptation consistent treasures and pressures your opponent (during long and grindy matches)
-Wily Goblin slighty weaker Dire Fleet Hoarder but a treasure is a treasure
Control pieces:
-Captivating Crew great card for 4 mana with a solid 4/3 body and an amazing ability to sink your mana in
-Deadeye Tracker a 1 drop which can grow big or draw lands if left alone
-Duress disables your opponents removal before they can be a threat to your combo pieces
-Kitesail Freebooter 2 drop 1/2 flyer which practically does the same as Duress
-Lightning Strike cheap removal
-Magma Spray cheap removal with build in graveyard-hate
-Vance's Blasting Cannons
pretty much a Lightning Strike on a stick
-Walk the Plank almost unconditional removal
-Unlicensed Disintegration unconditional removal
Pay-off cards:
-Inventor's Apprentice practically a 2/3 for 1 mana
-Glorybringer a great over-all card to ramp into
-Herald of Anguish does a lot of things simultaneously and can be played way ahead of curve
-Marionette Master your op win condition, if you manage to get 5 treasures until turn 6 you can win the game the same turn
The mana base is rather simple, so there is nothing special to mention here. When playing this you just have to go with the flow of the game and decide which playstyle fits your opponents deck best. Usually you try to overpower your opponent with big threaths ahead of curve, disrupt their game plan with the various control cards or finish them off quick with Marionette Master.
