Black/White Lifegain Control

Standard* Budget Control W/B (Orzhov)

This deck started out as removal from everything and everyone. Now it's more focused on removal, lifegain, and draw. Sorin, Grim Nemesis is probably the best planeswalker for a build like this. He's severely underrated.

Went 2-1 with the deck, placed third.

Round 1: 2-0 against blue/black zombies.

Round 2: 2-1 against black/white artifacts

Round 3: 0-2 against black/white control

Summary: Inverter of Truth is awesome. Lifegain is probably the strongest feature of standard right now. Planeswalkers aren't as strong as they appear, even though lots of people used them. The third round taught me that I should probably put in more draw and more life gain. Gisela, the Broken Blade seems like a good idea.

the problem i see with this deck is that theres too many wraths effects and not enough single target removal, what happens is when you get one of you fatties out like Cataclysmic Gearhulk and you have 3 wrath effects in hand and you dont really wanna kill your guy i recommend some Stasis Snare, Grasp of Darkness, Fatal Push and Murder

I've thought about Fatal Push, but I don't think I can realistically expect to get the revolt trigger thingy.

Murder and Stasis Snare are both interesting. I like exile better than destroy right now because of emerge decks.

Thank you for your suggestions, Brocobeef :)

Any update on how this list is playing since you changed it?

relic2j, it still wins. It's an evolving process. Mainly, I just don't want it to run out of gas. I changed it to Delirium, Energy, Draw, Destroy.
