The common reprint of Mortician Beetle in Modern Masters 2017 reignited my desire to build a deck around it. This deck is all about the fun of letting your opponent sacrifice every creature he has. For this you got Diabolic Edict, Chainer's Edict and Innocent Blood (for a precision kill Bone Splinters helps you out). Every creature your opponent sacs makes your beetle happier. For card advantage you will sac a lot of your own creatures too, like Young Wolf, Blisterpod and Tukatongue Thallid. Combine those with Bequeathal, Altar's Reap and Grim Haruspex for major card advantange and a buffed beetle. Bequeathal can also be used on your opponents creatures right before he is forced to sacrifice them. For some extra muscle we have Demonlord of Ashmouth, who synergized nicely with the beetle, Grim Haruspex and Bequeathal.

The sideboard let's you react to decks without creatures, just switch Diabolic Edict, Chainer's Edict and Go for the Throat with Caustic Caterpillar, Back to Nature, Feed the Clan and Golgari Charm. To Combat infect more efficiently get Melira, Sylvok Outcast in.

Switch out the non-standard lands with standard lands and you have a real fun and awesome budget deck. Where 2x Chainer's Edict is the most expensive card with 5$ and the rest of the cards of the main deck are all below 1$!
