Sideboard

This is a deck i came up with a week or so ago and I am planning on taking it to FNM this friday so any feed back would be good.

It is similar to the old MUD decks that were floating around for a while but with much more emphasis on forcing a longer game and draining the opposing players resources whilst using cards like Treasure Cruise and Military Intelligence to keep my hand consistantly full of either threats or answers.

Ideal starting hand is 3 islands, Ornithopter, Ensoul Artifact, darksteel citadel and Illusory Angel for a turn 2 indestructible 5/5 and a turn three flying 4/4

Another possible hand is 2 islands, Ornithopter/Darksteel Citadel, Ensoul Artifact, and to control spells ([[stubborn denial] is a good one due to it having amazing synergy with Ensoul Artifact)

Being able to run on low mana was a ver yimportant part of this deck as being an old mono-red/burn standard player this is what i was used to but as i have matured as a magic getting more and more into standard over the last couple of years I have started to get back into blue (my first ever colour i played).

                    =====In-Depth=====

4x Ornithopter - I run 4 Ornithopter because of its amazing synergy with just about every single part of this deck, it can become a 5/5 flier with Ensoul Artifact, can be bounced back with no negatives with Quickling, it allows me to play a turn three Illusory Angel and allows me to set off Military Intelligence with very low risk to the creatures.

4x Ensoul Artifact - This is the core of the aggro aspect of the deck, making a 5/5 flier turn 2 makes a 4 turn clock and a turn 2 indestructible 5/5 means that you can block (and kill) big threats like Goblin Rabblemaster and Siege Rhino.

4x [Illusory Angel]] - Alongside the Ensoul artifact this creature gives me another option for a large evasion creature should i opt to put Ensoul Artifact onto a Darksteel Citadel.

4x Darksteel Citadel - Pretty self-explanitory, 5/5 indestructible creature turn two is a huge threat that has to be dealt with.

4x Quickling - Good power flier with the almighty flash. Works very well with Ornithopter and Triton Shorestalker

4x Trition Shorestalker - Turn one creature with evasion is both a pain for the opponent (a 20 turn clock) as well as something to set off Military Intelligence

4x Disdainful Stroke - Now we start to move into the main difference between this deck and most other MUD decks, the control aspect. I decided to run 4 Disdainful Stroke main as I realised the biggest threats to this deck would be high mana spells, Siege Rhino, End Hostilities and Elspeth, Sun's Champion being just a few of these.

4x Stubborn Denial - This spell not only works early when players tend to tap out but also has amazing synergy with Ensoul Artifact and Illusory Angel making it a 1 mana hard counter spell.

I apologise for any grammatical mistakes (it is 1:25 AM atm and I am very tired) I will add an in-depth explanation of the sideboard when I can and thanks for reading, any upvotes or feedback would be appreciated.
