A deck I threw together for Modern FNM. As I've seen Green Aggro or Stompy or whatever you want to call it grow in popularity, I put together my own version. The deck takes advantage of playing mono green with cards that have two or three green mana costs. Experiment One makes a great turn one play, as every other creature in the deck can trigger evolve. Dryad Militant's good P/T plus her ability make this a very solid inclusion. Scavenging Ooze is a good mana sink, and added +1/+1 counter synergy. Strangleroot Geist can create pressure turn two, plus those counters! Avatar of the Resolute takes advantage of our other counter creatures, 14 in total. Reach and trample make it even better. Kalonian Tusker is a vanilla 3/3. Good value and evolve trigger. Leatherback Baloth shines as our reward for only playing green. A 4/5 turn 3 is always added pressure. Dungrove Elder is the last of the creatures, and one of the best. If the game drags on, it becomes more and more of a win condition. Rancor does extremely well in this deck, making sure chump blocking doesn't stop the plan. Vines of Vastwood can be protection or a buff, good all around. Vines of Vastwood has proven itself to be a gamewinner. Chump blocked by all those spirit tokens? Give the 1/1 that slipped through +12/+12. Treetop Village makes a good attacker or blocker and doesn't cost us a land space lacking in green. 19 Forests make their way into this list because we don't need much else.

Edit 1: Went 1-3 at first Modern FNM. Decided to cut back on a Scooze for another Avatar, replace the Elders for Groundbreakers, and play two Oran-Rief, the Vastwood s in place of Forests. Swapping Gut Shot in the sideboard for Fog.

Edit 2: Put Gut Shots back in in place of Choke, swapped Feed the Clan for Life Goes On.
