Dragons are my favorite creatures so I decided to build a control deck around them.The main idea is to control the board during the initial turns and then cast some dragons to do some damage while also controlling the battlefield.
- Cards
Dissolve, Mana Leak and Silumgar's Scorn - The counterspells, they give you the power to decide what resolve or doesn't resolve.
Despise and Duress - Let you know what to expect and maybe avoid future problems.
Draconic Roar, Foul-Tongue Invocation, Hero's Downfall and Go for the Throat The removals. Allow you to control the board by destroying targets or making your opponent sacrifice creatures.
Crux of Fate is an amazing mass removal for dragon decks.
Imprisoned in the Moon - I love the flexibility of this card. You can turn a creature, land or planeswalker into a simple colorless mana.
Silumgar, the Drifting Death - Extremely good against token and low toughness creatures decks and it's also Hexproof, making it hard to remove.
Dragonlord Kolaghan - Haste to all your dragons and will make your opponents think twice about casting another copy of a dead creature or PW.
Dragonlord Silumgar - Let you steal a creture or PW and hold some big threats with the deathtouch.
Thunderbreak Regent - Your opponents are welcome to go against your dragons, but they will pay with blood (lol).
Icefall Regent - Helps you control the enemy's BF and is a little bit harder to remove.
Haven of the Spirit Dragon - Mana of any color for your dragons and if necessary can recover a dead one.
