Baron Von Count does some things differently than black-bordered Magic, so let's be clear about how he works (and how he doesn't):

The DOOM counter goes onto the number 5 behind him. You don't add five DOOM counters. It has to physically go on the art. Thus, Proliferate doesn't do anything. Cloning Baron Von Count, however, does.

The Baron can see numerals in the following areas: Mana cost, text box, and power/toughness.

Here's the weird parts: Two-digit numbers are made up of their component numerals. Emrakul, the Aeons Torn has a lot of 1s and 5s. And a 6, but we don't care about 6. The Baron CANNOT see into reminder text. But every other non-italicized numeral in that in the text box can be seen. Numerals are not words. Five is not 5. What's printed is what's looked at. The old Sol Ring counts for 1 and 2. The new Sol Ring is only 1.

This deck is geared towards ticking down Baron Von Count while also showcasing some other fun cards from the Legion of Dastardly Doom.

A couple of cute Killbots allow you to start mixing things up with Mary O'Kill. Her ability to be activated while she's in your hand, and swaps her with a Killbot or vice versa at instant speed.

The Big Idea is also here with Squirrel-Powered Scheme and Lobe Lobber to load up the Big Brain Cannon. It's not an infinite combo, but combine all of those with Krark's Other Thumb and you could potentially take a lot of shots!

If you're making a full Baron von Count deck, you might consider the following: -Dragons. Kolaghan, Storm's Fury has four numerals and using her Dash ability still counts as casting her. And it doesn't even take that many Dragons for her to knock someone out quickly. Plus, Nesting Dragon is a perfect card and makes more Dragons for Kolaghan. -Cycling. Cycling is good anyway, but especially because Archfiend of Ifnir is a perfect card. -Chandra, Torch of Defiance. Apparently she's not content to overperform in Standard!
