The best thing to do is probably to lower the curve a bit:

Kumano Faces Kakkazan  Flip is a cheap card that works wonders for the strategy

Play with Fire is a better Shock, and Lightning Strike is a better Roil Eruption

Monastery Swiftspear is probably one of the best red 1-drops ever, and pretty cheap with the BRO reprint. Soul-Scar Mage is pretty similar, no haste, but a chance to progressively kill problematic creatures or mess up combat math with the -1/-1 counters is great.

Den of the Bugbear and Ramunap Ruins can be considered to have some utility in your lands without giving up any colored sources.

Eidolon of the Great Revel is the most expensive card that mono red plays in pioneer right now, that might be a step too far if you're worrying about the budget. But that's probably where you'd want to end up being serious about the deck. In the meantime you could consider cards like Khenra Spellspear  Flip, Kari Zev, Skyship Raider or Bloodfeather Phoenix to make sure chapter 2 of Kumano Faces Kakkazan  Flip goes to use.

You could look up some lists on MTGGoldfish or MTGTop8 to see what's generally played in the mono red decks, and work your way there bit by bit. I think my suggestions should give you plenty inspiration to get started though.

KL185, I personally wouldn't go above 19 lands here, and think 18 would be my preferred number. I do think you're right though, Roil Eruption may be the one to take out, considering The Flame of Keld only gets better as you go up in land count.

All basics is not a good strategy right now. Faceless Haven is good, but if you're worried about mana, Den of the Bugbear and Lair of the Hydra are two of the better manlands and they go in this deck nicely.

I feel like Snakeskin Veil is much stronger than Roil Eruption here given the prevalence of Izzet and Dimir in the format.

magwaaf How could I forget about that? Here it is.

Izzet Tempo - Tournament Ready

I will take one Island out for the Steam Vents. I will also add 4x Young Pyromancer, 4x Monastery Swiftspear and 4x Lightning Strike by taking out 4x Riddleform, 4x Roil Eruption, 2x Spikefield Hazard  Flip and 2x Anticipate. Also, I will take one Roiling Vortex out of the sideboard, and put one Ral, Izzet Viceroy in the sideboard.

Today was the tournament. I went there with my friends, one playing Naya Zoo, (and went 0-2, 1-2 and 0,2) and the other playing Rakdos Aggro. (Went 0,2, (against me) 2-0 and 0-2.)

First march was against my friend playing Rakdos Aggro. We played a practice match before the tournament, and he won, so I was feeling a little nervous. In game one, he was getting rid of threats, but then ran out of removal, and I overpowered him with some Riddleforms. In game two I sideboarded my anti-aggro cards and anti-artifact cards. (He played many equipments.) I had a turn 5 kill, with Shocks and Roil Eruptions alongside a Sprite Dragon be too much for him.

Round two was against a slower version of Red Deck Wins. In game 1 I couldn’t land a single threat on the field, and Tectonic Giant won him the first game. Game two was a turn 6 kill, with my flying threats making quick work of him. Game three was a longer game, but I outlasted him, with The Royal Scions teaming up with a Stormwing Entity to give me round two.

The last round was for the final prise, a Zendikar Rising booster box. The other player won all their games, and other’s feared his deck. Game one I learned pretty quickly that we was a cycling deck, and lost to a huge fox. When sideboarding, I sideboarded the wrong card, which cost me the second game.

I came so close, and thank you for all your suggestions!

gatotempo The reason I am running Roil Eruption over Thundering Rebuke is because it can hit players too, but Thundering Rebuke might be an addition to my sideboard.

plakjekaas I think that twelve threats in a spellslinger deck are enough, but in case there aren't, I have some strong sideboard creatures two are good at combating several strategies. However, I do agree with you that Brazen Borrower and Magmatic Channeler are good additions. I am thinking about adding these. My problems with Brazen Borrower I explained on the decklist itself, and Magmatic Channeler is quite a vulnerable creature. Also, Magmatic Channeler can be chump blocked quite easily.

Thank you guys for your suggestions! I am seriously thinking about these.
