New Doomsday Piles

Hello together, I am new to Magic and want to try building my first deck, Mairsil, the Pretender . As i looked for interesting cards i found Doomsday and decided to include it.
I play Grenzo, Dungeon Warden in the 99, so i have access to these piles, but the piles would have to work with 1 activation only as well, because i might have to cage Grenzo in the process.
As most other Doomsday deck i have seen so far use Laboratory Maniac if they happen to have access to blue, i want to avoid that finisher to make it more fun and a little unique.
So far i found some finishers using Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker or the Worldgorger Dragon Combo.
Can you think of other finishers that could be used? A card you thought might be worth trying but you never ended up with a pile?
Please lend me your ideas, perhaps we can make some ideas of piles come true.
Also, if you already play your unique piles, please share your ideas :)

That might be a little bit difficult to set up, indeed, but that sounds pretty good to me already :D
I also thought about how i could approach such a pile. The draw would could be fairly easy, i thought to maybe start with the one Grenzo activation to get Mulldrifter , then Gush to draw the remaining two cards. From there i would have 3 cards to work with.
You think that could work? I am still missing a combo to set up at that point, i thought perhaps something to generate storm + Grapeshot or Tendrils of Agony could do it.
I already found one pile like this, but it needs 7 mana: 1. Peregrine Drake 2. Ghostly Flicker 3. Mnemonic Wall 4. Grapeshot 5. Mulldrifter
Let Mulldrifter enter with your one activation to draw 2, play Peregrine Drake for 7 (thats what you needed the mana for). Now you untap 5 Lands and play Ghostly Flicker , floating 2, you will get to draw 2 cards and get to untap 5 more lands. Now you play Mnemonic Wall , get Ghostly Flicker back and flicker it and your Drake until you have cast enough cards to Grapeshot your opponents to death

Unfortunately that combo ist pretty easily disruptable and i cannot afford to lose one of those spaces to a counterspell

And i just noticed, i acually need 8 mana if i have no land that taps for 2

With citadel, all you need is 1 draw then you cast off the top of library.
You could also use some sort of Palinchron High Tide / Bubbling Muck (depending on your landbase) combo to get infinite mana and burn people out with grapeshot or Comet Storm
I also just thought of a worldgorger finisher. Bitter Ordeal . Exile every card in your opponent's decks and pass turn.

Not a Doomsday pile but if you’re looking for an easy way to setup Bolas’s Citadel, Aetherflux Reservoir and SDT suggested by GhostChieftain, you can always use Insidious Dreams . It requires you to discard 3 cards in the process but you can make the combo work with just 6 mana (to cast citadel).

^it is always good to have backup plans, so if you can make both of these work I think it is better

Since this forum is around what Mardu doomsday piles would be good to do. I could probably just perform that Red sun + Citadel + Reservoir one, but I would be interested in hearing some more.

Just keep paying 1 life after casting citadel and gaining life from reservoir as red sun's keeps shuffling in. Granted, this is not an amazing doomsday pile or anything. You need 9 mana and a draw to get Doomsday and this started in one turn, but it technically can get the job done if you want to be more outside the box.
I personally would say it is too outside the box though. You can also look at krrik doomsday, but I think regular grenzo doomsday piles would work best here.
