Vegas Changes —June 19, 2017

While at GP Vegas, I made a few changes to my deck to try to fix it. My main problems were either with certain cards being insignificant or with the lack of card draw. Here's what I got so far:

1x Yavimaya Elder -> 1x Scavenging Ooze
I lost my Elder, and needed a replacement. Ooze was something I wanted to fit in anyways. Elder seemed slow anyways

1x Rugged Highlands -> 1x Mountain
Lands that come in tapped consistently are bad for me. There's also consideration that I'm looking for more fetch lands, so more targets are strictly better

1x Gruul Guildgatefoil -> 1x Sheltered Thicketfoil
Cycle land > gate

1x Sakura-Tribe Elder -> 1x Lotus Cobra Better ramp

1x Animist's Awakening -> 1x Sylvan Library
I got sick of wiffing on Awakening. This is basically getting rid of a horrible card for card advantage

1x Nissa, Worldwaker -> 1x Nissa, Vital Force Better Nissa

1x Akoum Hellkitefoil -> 1x Craterhoof Behemoth Hellkite is a horrible card. With my large amount of tokens I generate, Craterhoof is a huge wincon

1x Zendikar Incarnate -> 1x Worldly Tutor Bad card -> tutor

And now for changes I'm looking to make but haven't yet:

1x Rampant Growth -> 1x Sylvan Scrying
Gets better utility lands

1x Evolving Wilds + 1x Dormant Volcano + 1x Jungle Basin -> Fetches
bad cards -> good cards

1x Comet Storm -> 1x Starstorm
better board wipes

1x Reforge the Soul -> 1x Wheel of Fortune
Better wheel
