I started this deck during the Innistrad block, and over time it's turned into this. I should note that my friends and I play pretty casually, so if this were to be more competitive/less budget-friendly, I'd definitely make some changes, such as swapping Oblivion Ring for Path to Exile.

• Champion of the Parish should always be played as soon as possible. Fantastic turn 1.
• Doomed Traveler is a cheap, annoying bugger for opponents, and can help a little with flyers.
• Elite Inquisitor isn't anything flashy, but two mana for a 2/2 with first strike and vigilance? Please.
• Hanweir Militia Captain   should be able to transform on turn 4 or 5. Then it's big and poops out tokens. Awesome.
• Silverblade Paladin when do you not want double strike? Great paired with one of the bigger guys.
• Thraben Doomsayer poops out tokens. Sweet. I've also had a game I won by purposely allowing my opponent's creatures to deal an extra two damage to me so that Fateful Hour would take effect.
• Crusader of Odric The more creatures, the better.
• Angel of Jubilation doesn't entirely fit with the deck, but it's certainly not bad. Somewhat in the deck just for fun, but it can be helpful.

• Odric, Master Tactician is easily a game winner. "None of your creatures block."

• Brave the Elements is meant to be a game-winner, but can be used to defend if really necessary.

• Gather the Townsfolk is cheap token generation.
• Honor of the Pure a decent all-around buff.
• Oblivion Ring for a bit of removal.

General Strategies

• Get creatures out as quickly as possible. Duh.
• Token generation isn't the main theme of the deck, but it's definitely important. Grow Champion of the Parish like a chia pet on steroids. Make Hanweir Militia Captain   (once transformed) and Crusader of Odric big.
• Use tokens to block when necessary.
• Brave the Elements and Odric, Master Tactician are meant to be win conditions, though the deck isn't dependent on them.
