A taxes-style deck that focuses on passively shutting down opponent's options.

Sideboard focuses on specific removal/protection to eliminate issues.

For those who question why Aegis of the Gods is featured so heavily... my local meta loves to Thoughtseize and Foul-Tongue Invocation and Sphinx's Tutelage and any other anti-player cards that exist. Aegis just has to be there in order to survive my local meta shenanigans... I realize it's completely illogical anywhere else on earth.

Tinkered with the deck slightly. Found out that my biggest weakness tends to be creature hate... Crux of Fate and Hero's Downfall absolutely put the brakes on this deck.

Added in Return to the Ranks as a slight test, and went undefeated at FNM all the way to the very last round... where I lost in a tie breaker to mono red burn.

Return to the Ranks was definitely the hero of the night and came out several times... about half the deck is under 2 cmc, including my planeswalker... definitely a keeper.
