“They’ll attack whatever’s in front of them—as long as you tell them where that is."

If you really want to surprise your friends, and attack with some defenders, then this is the deck for you. The basic game-plan is as follows: deploy some vehicles (yeah that's right!), then get some big red defenders to crew them and swing for the fences.

We are rocking 5 different vehicles in this deck: Consulate Dreadnought, Heart of Kiran, Cultivator's Caravan, Mizzium Tank and Renegade Freighter. If our defenders force the opponent to stay away, we can use either Skin Invasion   ability to force them to run into our big stuff. We can even use our Skin Invasion   on our own Cinder Wall if we know it is going to block, and thereby die. As for creatures, the important ones are obviously the 1 CMC ones like Slumbering Dragon, Cinder Wall and Torpid Moloch. For backup we have Mogg Flunkies, Ogre Sentry and a Okk for that final kill.

Creatures

Cinder Wall -> Excellent one-drop for the build. Unfortunately it can only block once.

Slumbering Dragon -> A two-off that perfectly suits our needs. I also increases in size whenever we get attacked.

Torpid Moloch -> The only defender that won't survive a pyroclasm, but instead it comes with a built-in ability to be a finisher itself.

Mogg Flunkies -> Surprisingly some one of the stronger cards. The text is obviously a drawback, but if you can crew a vehicle with other creatures, they will be able to attack just fine.

Ogre Sentry -> Just a 3/3 defender for 2, awesome for the deck.

Okk -> A 4/4 for two, but has to be used in conjuncture with a vehicle to be a threat.

Spells

Pyroclasm -> Pretty much a one-sided board wipe as almost all of our creatures have more than two toughness. Works wonders against decks that run a lot of creatures, like Humans, Merfolk or token-based decks.

Skin Invasion   -> Versatile card to interact with the creatures your opponent do wan't to loose. Can also be used on your own Cinder Wall if you know it is going to die anyway. Excellent trade.

Vehicles

Consulate Dreadnought -> On paper an unplayable card, but in this deck it will fairly consistently help you swing for 7 on turn two.

Heart of Kiran -> Easily the best vehicle in the deck. Allows us to attack in the air, but can also be used to block on the subsequent turn if we need it.

Renegade Freighter -> Essentially a vehicle that attacks for 5 with trample.

Cultivator's Caravan -> Versatile vehicle that also helps us ramp if we need it to.

Mizzium Tank -> Can 'activate' itself whenever we cast another non-creature spell.

Sideboard

Tormod's Crypt -> Much needed cards to hate on your opponents graveyard

Damping Sphere -> Great card against decks like Storm, Amulet Titan and Tron

Lightning Mare -> Adds some pressure to blue decks

Smelt -> Artifact removal

Dragon's Claw -> Other red decks tend to be faster than us, so we need to stay alive for longer

Boil -> Just to mess with their stuff

Burn

Given that this is a strictly red deck, we would certainly do go with some more burn, it is only fitting. For this reason i would recommend these cards:

Lightning Bolt -> You know why.

Risk Factor -> Some much needed card draw OR damage. Let them decide.

Mainboard

As for the rest of the mainboard, these are my recommendations:

Vexing Devil -> THE biggest suggestion I can make. Either its a one mana lightning bolt, OR its creature that can crew one of your vehicles.

Smuggler's Copter -> Great card filtering, and the damage output is the same as if your defender could attack.

Weatherlight -> The same as the above, only with slightly less damage, but can net you some more artifacts.

Sideboard

Like with many other budget decks, the sideboard is where it's at. Usually it is here that the most compromises are made, but here are some staples that could be included:

Shattering Spree -> Handle artifacts.

Shatterstorm -> Handle a lot of artifacts.

Blood Moon -> Maybe THE red sideboard card of them all. It is just too good not to use for a mono red deck.

Molten Rain -> Targeted land removal with some burn attached to it.

Ricochet Trap -> Trap the blue player.

Guttural Response -> A control player seldom expects this card.

Updates Add

Removed the goblins, and mixed the bag with some more vehicles. Added more removal and removed the extra combat stuff.
