Added some new AVR cards! Considering putting in Sigarda, Host of Herons. I LOVE the Nightshade Peddler and Silverblade Paladin. The Soulbond mechanic works great w/ POD!
Ohhhhh another question... How usefull is molten steel.. I mean I understand it's to pod for elesh,,, does it work often

Yeah...I put it mainboard because alot of folks run tokens and or fast humans and such. They have a massive board presence by turn 4-5. I can easily recover from a DoJ, especially with my ramp and a Birthing Pod or two out.
I have a few updates, just waiting for the cards to ship :-)
Yeah!!! Moltensteel I can get out a turn or two early and Pod into Elesh Norn, for sure! Almost an instant win con. Otherwise, he's a win con by himself if I have enough life, especially with Urabrask out. I boarded some life gain critters for aggro decks and I have a few mainboard, so I can pump him pretty good for an instant kill.
Did you +1 sir?

Nice deck! Pod is one of my favorite new archetypes, ever since I opened one at the NPH pre-release. I like your take on it, and it seems to work well. The mainboard is a toolbox by itself, but it looks like you can side in an answer to most anything, if need be. +1 here!

Thanks! Hope to try this out at FNM soon. Don't know what the Meta will be like, but judging from the Standard decks that are running currently, I should be prepared for anything.
Morbid and Undying REALLY brought Pod back. It's definitely a sleeper deck with all the tokens, Delver, tribes, etc. A good Pod deck can run without Birthing Pod, but is explosive with one, especially if they don't pack any hate.

I think i dig this a little, but i believe you will have alot of problems with aggro, with no Timely Reinforcements in sideboard and no Tree of Redemption and just a tad bit of advice is lower your mana curve a bit and add more little 1G mana guys you will be suprised. the lower mana curve with decrease your mulligan rate alot and the mana guys just help alot. Good list, Pretty creative.

Tree of Redemption and Hollowhenge Scavenger is in sideboard, bro ;-) May side in Timely Reinforcements. Thanks for that nod.
The build I had prior to this had 4x Birds of Paradise, 2x Avacyn's Pilgrim, and 3x Viridian Emissary, plus Solemn Simulacrum and Primeval Titan. LOTS of mana ramp.
I wanted to cut back just a bit and go more Aggro with Strangleroot Geist and capitalize on the 1 drop werewolves. I may play with the list some more, adding more ramp, as time goes on. I still have some, just not as much.

is a great one drop, I think you may want to look at just tossing in another Young Wolf or Pilgrim. The only problem with Captive is that he'll eat up your mana turn two if you wanna go aggro, and if he flips he's not all that great as a 2/2 you can't buff right away. Obviously with Mayor he gets boosted, but with only one mayor it's unlikely you'll start the game with both.

Yeah...may have to acquire some Timely Reinforcements. Thanks!
Good point. Think I'll swap out Wolfbitten Captive for a Birds of Paradise or a Avacyn's Pilgrim. I'll have to constuct a straight Wolf/Werewolf deck to use him.

yeah just remember early pressure and late bombs wins game ESPICIALLY with a birthing pod to get them whenever you need them. Just tweak it to your liking get comformtable and dominate

I have 2x Timely Reinforcements on order. Thank you, gentleman. Or ladies... which ever. Not calling you ladies, was just covering my bases lol.
When I can cast BoP turn 1, Pod turn 2, another BoP and Mimic Vat turn 3, Titan turn 4, and Pod into Elesh norn turn 5, it gets stupid. :-) That's a nuts hand, but great when it happens.
March 2, 2012 2:34 a.m.
or what i love doing t1 Birds of Paradise or Avacyn's Pilgrim , t2 Birthing Pod t3 Blade Splicer pod of splicer into Hero of Bladehold , t4 swing with hero pod off bird or pilgrim into Phantasmal Image to copy hero and just win on t5. lol
March 3, 2012 3:21 p.m.
And even if they Day of Judgment i stopped playing cards from my hand on t3 so that is at least a turn of draw that i got off and i typicaly have more threats in my hand.

I ran Avacyns Pilgrim but replaced them with Young Wolf. Lost a bit of ramp, but better aggro.
If I only had Hero of Bladehold.... sigh.
Day of Judgment isn't all that bad for me, I can recover easily with my Undying dudes, ramp, and Pod. I usually drop it before playing Garruk, or drop an acidic slime and Pod into.a Titan.

I've found Blade Splicer a bit lack luster in my pod deck. I use Fiend Hunter myself, which goes great when podding into it from Strangleroot Geist (targeting Geist to reset the undying). If nothing else, it's spot removal.
Sylvok Replica could replace Naturalize . It costs one more, but you can pod into it.
This is what I've come up with as a pod deck deck:birthing-pod-wbg

The Blade Splicer gives me good tech on the ground, brings out a 3/3 First Strike. Plus, it's a bonus if Solemn Simulacrum is on the board, as it's a Golem. May have to try Fiend Hunter ...
Sylvok Replica would be a 3 slot, which is hard to fit in. Naturalize gives me more versatility in dealing with my meta, ala Grafdigger's Cage , any of the curses, Tempered Steel, etc. My Acidic Slime is also fairly easy to get to. God forbid I put it on the Mimic Vat lol...
I shall scope it sir, and thanks for the suggestions!

Yep, Mimic Vat is fun to abuse! Definitely a utility card, but more or less I can sac a beastie and keep it on the Vat.

Just so you know a TON of people play pod where I go and there is this one rogue pod deck that wipes the floor every time. He runs 4x archon of justice and pods into 3x wurmcoils so he keeps exiling threat after threat.my suggestion? More archon

aeonstoremyliver says... #20
Hmm... I could run Fiend Hunter in it's place. I only have 1x Archon of Justice . When I sac Wurmcoil Engine for Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite and put the Engine on a Mimic Vat , it gets stupid...

yea i can tell ... all im saying is the ONLY reason this guy beats me is that friggin archon podding into wurmcoil ... ran What do we want? Brains! against it and i went 3-1 that night (we all split top 4)
