Altar of the Brood is a nice personal touch. I feel like it would have been a nice "gotcha!" when Twin was legal. KCI is super sweet. People would call Thopter-Sword infinite because it gains you life enough to make more and more over several turns. KCI makes this truly infinite. I might opine a switch of the Altars to more control or protective elements such as Thoughtseize and Inquisition of Kozilek. Also I like Time Sieve but bringing a combo enhancer out of the sideboard seems sketchy when your opponent will be bringing in tech to break to base combo. Good stuff here. I would love to tinker with this list.

No pun intended.

Really like the deck, man, I was looking to build something similar! What would you say to a singleton Tezzeret the Seeker? Just for the tutor effect- and hey, if you can keep him alive for a turn, his ult wrecks face.

I think that perhaps a Darkslick Shores Seachrome Coast could be added in place of a Flooded Strand. It does basically the same thing except you're not stuck with the color you pick originally.

Also, I think that Tezzeret the Seeker is a better version than the one that you have.

His last 2 abilities are the only useful ones for me and he costs 5 mana rather than 4 in most cases Seeker just does less for me than Agent which is why I made the choice I did.

How does this work? To use Thopter Foundry you need to sacrifice an artifact and pay . You would need 2 Sword of the Meek out, not just one as insinuated. Turn one: nothing. Turn two: Sword of the Meek. Turn three: Thopter Foundry. Turn four: second Sword of the Meek. Turn five: Krark-Clan Ironworks. If i'm wrong and there is some way that I don't see, please tell me how.

Sac sword to foundry and make a token and gain a life. Sac token to KCI to make 2 mana. Use one and sac sword to generate another token and life and get the sword back. Then you can do it again with the mana you floated with KCI to sac the sword again to foundry. Now one mana nets you 2 life as well as two artifacts. Sac one of the two tokens to KCI to make two more mana. Then use one to sac sword and make another token and life. Sac the other to generate two more mana. Seeing the loop?

It's an infinite combo so I get asked the question a lot so I am happy that you where there to answer the question this time Happymaster19 I appreciate the input.

I might also recommend some Hurkyl's Recall in place of the auras or Time Sieves to help against Affinity. You could also probably trim the sword and foundry down to two and three respectively since you have 4x Muddle the Mixture and bring the Sieves in their place (also sweet with 4x MtM). So many Muddle targets!!!!!

I'm actually surprised I didn't have that in my sideboard as its in almost every other blue list I've made. As for the Time Sieves I find them gimmikey so I relegate the option to the sideboard as its only more impactful when I fight highly non-interactive stall decks.

Infinite mana, infinite creatures are nothing new, there are a lot of combos that make you have infinite X. Unfortunately for them, however, they never appear in any ladder, so there must be some issue with these kind of decks that doesn't make them work as others...

I think instead of running disrupting shoal, run another hard counter, like Dissolve, or Dissipate.

This is a nice deck idea. Here's what I would change with it..

Drop:

4xMuddle the Mixture
1x Mox Opal1x Anguished Unmaking 3xAltar of the Brood
2x Disrupting Shoal

Add:

4x Thoughtcast2x Supreme Verdict2x Fabricate1x Krark-Clan Ironworks2x Monastery Siege

You'd also be better off with a couple more fetch lands and 2 Godless Shrine.

Hope you like the advice.

I appreciate the comment but I do not believe that tradeing removal for a more combo focused design is a good choice. This deck is currently very stable and consistent which allows it to compete with stronger decks more favorably than the more combo focused variant which loses to anyone with even the slightest amount of artifact hate.
