Also you have the first strike tag so maybe Kwende, Pride of Femeref? Idk I could only find one first strike creature. Still a good card though.

lhetrick13 - Definitely an interesting suggestion! As you say, double strike is a nasty combination along with the other keywords, and the damage on life gain-combo. I might be misinterpreting your example, but as I understand the rules you'd need trample if you want to deal damage to both the creature and the player. Since even with double strike, your creature remains "blocked" even if the blocking creature dies during first strike damage. But you've given me something to think about. Double strike still deals more damage, and trample might be worthwhile. I'll look into both options when I tweak the deck.

Playing Kwende, Pride of Femeref is something I would recommend to others playing my deck but personally, I don't like playing tri-colour decks. Managing mana is too much of a hassle for me. In this case, a few dual-lands with would be enough. But still, dual-colour decks are my favourite :)

Yogei - Not sure how you feel about splashing and losing the tribe but a fun thing to experiment with might actually be Kwende, Pride of Femeref. If you care more about the First Strike and Deathtouch combo than the vamp tribal, he could be a killer addition as what could be worse than creatures with lifelink, deathtouch, and first strike when life gain hurts your opponent? Having lifelink, deathtouch, and double strike when life gain hurts your opponent.

I am just imaging Gifted Aetherborn taking out its blocker due to deathtouch and double strike, getting a +1/+1 counter due to Cordial Vampire, then hitting the opponent for 3 damage and the lifegain deals 3 damage to the opponent due to Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose being in play...glorious!!!

Yogei - I apologize for the short message earlier. I was at work :)

My pleasure on the feed back. If it is not to self-serving, I would love to have your thoughts on any of my three knight themed decks (For Honor and Glory!!!, Beyond the Grave (Abzan), Beyond the Grave (Mardu)). I would appreciate another knight enthusiast insights!

Sigiled Sword of Valeron is an expensive card for vigilance, especially given you are running Brave the Sands for a fraction of the cost to play/equip Sigiled Sword. Hopefully History of Benalia meets expectations. I love that card but actually just removed it in For Honor and Glory!!! for Guardian of Faith based on some input from Lankhmar. Have not done enough playtesting to comment on that yet though.

I really like the play of Knight of Malice and Knight of Grace for your deck. Provide some evasion from popular removal colors, first-strike, and they pump each other a little. Very nice! I think you would not be disappointed with running either Knight of the White Orchid or Acclaimed Contender. Orchid's ability is so good that I try to get him into anything knight related as I love that ramp. Contender is also nice as it pretty much gives you a knight card back into your hand. I have found with knights I often struggle keeping enough cards in my hand so Acclaimed Contender helps with that a bit. I also think you will like Kinsbaile Cavalier over Kwende, Pride of Femeref. Kwende swings wider as he does not discriminate by creature type but since you are running tribal knights, can not beat Kinsbaile.

I also feel you on the protection from a color. It is so satisfying when it works out but so annoying when it is useless...Makes a good sideboard option though :)

Anyways, I like the deck and appreciate the thought and effort that went into it. Happy brewing and good luck!

Another option for double-strike instead of Kwende, Pride of Femeref is Kinsbaile Cavalier. Kinsbaile Cavalier hits all knights for the same cost as Kwende, Pride of Femeref.

Thank you for the feedback lhetrick13, I always appreciate it!

My primary reason for playing Sigiled Sword of Valeron is actually its vigilance ability. But now that I think on it more, I see your point with History of Benalia. More Knight creature tokens that also have vigilance. I'll make that change to the mainboard.

I'm actually considering replacing Aryel, Knight of Windgrace with Kwende, Pride of Femeref to give double strike to Knight of Grace, Knight of Malice and anything enchanted by Hyena Umbra. But Knight of the White Orchid and Acclaimed Contender are both strong cards and valid replacements. I like Acclaimed Contender as it helps you find Knight Exemplar. Fiendslayer Paladin is a good card as well, but, I'm on the fence regarding cards with protection from colour. They're a bit too inconsistent for my taste.

Thank you for the upvotes & comments. I actually haven't updated this list in years..

lhetrick13: The reason for running Kwende, Pride of Femeref over Kinsbaile Cavalier is because there is also a minor Human sub-theme here as well (note the Equipments). As far as The Circle of Loyalty, I simply don't like the conditionality of the card, and it doesn't do enough on it's own to justify the cost..

Metroid_Hybrid - As a fellow tribal knight lover, I can say I really like the deck. I am waiting to get my hands on Puresteel Paladin so I can make a equipment knight deck as well and you definitely provided some ideas.

The only thing that stuck out to me as odd is why run Kwende, Pride of Femeref in a tribal knight deck that does not include The Circle of Loyalty over Kinsbaile Cavalier? Kwende gives double strike to any creature you control that has first strike for 4 CMC. Kinsbaile gives any knight double strike for 4 CMC. Since you are running all knights and not of whom have first strike, seems like Kinsbaile would be the better choice.

Happy Brewing!
