I got all teary-eyed reading the intro. It had me longing for the days of good card borders and exceptional artwork. +1, I like what’s going on with this build. There are so many ways to use/abuse “Whenever…” cards like Furious Assault and Impact Tremorsfoil, someone should make the ultimate deck and call it “Whenever Subordinating Conjunctions Attack…” ^_^

I did a version of this deck 19 years ago as the first deck I actually designed (as opposed to just being a pile). We were still in Legacy, so my version revolved around Furious Assault, but it's the same basic idea. Apparently, great minds think alike!

passimo: Thanks! And sorry I missed your comment for so long. =(

While I also love Otherworldly Outburst and have tried it out multiple decks already, I wasn't able to find a slot for it in this particular one yet. I think because I have both Impact Tremors and Furious Assault in here, I don't want to use a card that will only trigger one of them at a time. Unless it's "free" like Dwarven Mine, which I just added, actually.

Speaking of which, I just updated the deck. I hope you still like it. =)

I love absolutely everything about this deck. Don't change a thing ;)

Well, except that I would love to see Squee, the Immortal in there, and Furious Assault in addition to the Impact Tremors you already have, because you have no enchantment fetch, and that's a good effect.

Other cards possibly overlooked that are worth looking at:

Though I could never conceive of a list of cards you could remove to fit all of that in.

Finally, I do think that Chandra, Torch of Defiance is a better Chandra for this deck than Chandra, Fire Artisan. In my humble opinion.

Anyway, I started this giant comment by saying you shouldn't ever change a thing. I mean that. The deck looks amazing as is. These suggestions are just food for thought.

Cheers!

I. Love. Goblin decks.

And this is a good one.

I will always recommend Siege-Gang Commander and Goblin Grenade to all Goblin decks. So I'll do so here as well.

Next I would recommend Furious Assault. You're heavier on token production than creature spells, true, but the idea of any weenie deck is a-little-at-a-time, so since you're casting creatures pretty much every turn, it would help. Also synergies somewhat with Fires of Invention, and Torbran, Thane of Red Fell.

Lastly, you have a lot of mana ramp, but a somewhat low mana curve. I like the suggestion of Winter Orb mentioned earlier, but also I might include some amount of land destruction. Your opponents will need their land more than you do. Cheap spells like Raze and Tremble, permanents like Shivan Harvest, and bigger spells such as Tectonic Break, just to list a few examples. You might even be better served to use these in place of some of the mana ramp you're running, and could include Aether Vial to compensate.

Sorry for the novel. Looks pretty awesome already.

You are totally correct about Furious Assault. Thanks for catching that. I had actually considered that before, but forgot to include it in the description, but you don't have to believe that, lol. :)

I'm playtesting it (slowly) to see if that card will even be helpful.

Btw, I LOVE pauper, so you ever want an opinion on a brew, or just want to discuss strategy (especially in sacrifice decks, which I also love), feel free to hit me up! :)

so i noticed Furious Assault in your ideal turn sequence spoiler and i dont believe it works quite as intended in that senario. It reads "whenever you play a creature spell...", as opposed to Impact Tremors "whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control...".

Impact Tremors works with creatures entering which allows tokens to proc it, as where Furious Assault procs only when a creature spell is cast. which means that your token producing sorceries wont trigger Furious Assault but will trigger Impact Tremors.

also, ive been getting into pauper recently and have been looking at all your decks today. i love the stuff youve brewed, keep up the good work!

My first instinct is to suggest messing around with Brian + Impact Tremors (and Furious Assault?) + Hissing Iguanar, maybe?

I've passed over that card when building around Brian before. Mainly because it seems too narrow. You only get one thing out of the card, another, single sac-fodder-body. Synergy is the name of the game here, and the "value" you get out of Otherworldly Outburst is that it is a big creature. A 3/2 for a single mana. However, now you must ask how you can get that to synergize with Brian?

Maybe instead of Impact Tremors, you could try a token-swarm, then Bioshift Brian's counters onto an unblocked attacker?

Didn't mean to wall-o-text you again, but Otherworldly Outburst and Impact Tremors are also pet cards of mine. =P
