Urza vs Locus Lands
Legacy forum

I've got a modern mono blue tron deck, but I'm starting to play some legacy. I was told to switch to Locus lands instead of the Urza lands. Just wondering some opinions on this?
Examples: Cloudpost Glimmerpost

Basically you're finding a 2 card combo instead of a 3 card combo, and the 2 cards produce more mana.

Yes, 12 post is better than Urza Tron due to the amount of decks running Wasteland .

This is my deck currently, I tried it out last weekend in the legacy format, I did alright. Just wondering if there are any things I NEED to change?

For Legacy, your Mana Leak and Condescend would need to be Counterspell or Force of Will , possibly Spell Pierce . Your Thirst for Knowledge and Foresee should be Ponder or Brainstorm or Preordain , you could probably leave a few Thirsts for late game. Your Urza Tron pieces should be Cloudpost , Glimmerpost and Vesuva .
A backup plan could be Blue Sun's Zenith a la High Tide decks.

You could run Condescend late game though, but you want the early disruption in Legacy as most cards in Legacy decks are 1-3 cmc, with the exception of Force, which can be cast for free (and will be with great frequency).

Well, there's Batterskull too, but that's usually vialed in via Stoneforge Mystic .

Tron doesn't produce any extra mana until tron is assebled. That needs 3 lands. WIth 3 Cloudpost s you can produce two mana more than with assembled tron. Every post you get after that, gives you at least 4 mana more to use and each piece of tron you get to assembled tron can give you at most 3 mana more to use.

Post is the common "tron" deck in legacy. It uses things like Crop Rotation to pump them out, and Primeval Titan to fetch even more, into an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn or large Banefire
