mine is play Sorrow's Path, give it to them using Political Trickery, and use Twiddle to tap it, killing the nemesis.

Toxic Deluge has been one that I've seen happen a lot. It's always funny seeing board-wide -1/-1 just kill the poor guy off.

I personally prefer Geth's Verdict for the flavor, "Your sentence is to be killed on sight...FOREVER!"

In cube, I once copied one with both a phantasmal image and a clever impersonator and then attached a sword of feast and famine to my impersonator nemesis. It didn't kill his nemesis, but it was equally if not more satisfying.

Council's Judgment. Although I like running this guy, so no killing him, please.

Twiddle wouldn't work like that. It just taps it, it doesn't tap it and activate the ability. Read the rules of Twiddle.

Rienuaa, Sorrow's Path's updated Oracle text for it being tapped reads "Whenever Sorrow's Path becomes tapped, it deals 2 damage to you and each creature you control." Similar to City of Brass. So yes, targeting it with Twiddle is a legit interaction to kill True-Name Nemesis.

Does that work? Does protection do the same thing as, like Healing Salve when it comes to "cannot be damaged"? If so, neat.

I prefer the old Bow of Nylea and 2 green mana to effectively counter the nemesis.

Yes, protection prevents the damage from being done:

702.16e Any damage that would be dealt by sources that have the stated quality to a permanent or player with protection is prevented.

Well, assuming that Nemesis is a part of legacy Merfolk deck, I have 2x Consume the Meek in my mono B. With a single ramp like Dark Ritual, Bubbling Muck or Cabal Coffers I can cast is fast enough to kill everything opponent controls. And laugh. Diabolicaly.

ThatJunkMage Yeah, it works. It's one of those stupid rules loopholes but god is it so satisfying to pull off and watch them go "Uhhhh, wut?"

I'd recommend Wing Shards instead of Dispense Justice.
